ARVs becoming reversed cambered

my ARVs have started to become reverse camber in the tips. i was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? its kinda nice it kinda gives me a little more float when im skiing powder with em because they are center mounted. they are the 07-08 ones 185.

ill post pics as soon as i can get a hold of a camera.

The tips on my old 185 ARV had a few cm of rocker in as well. I was always tip standing and doing butters on them.

Armadas are so progressive that the ski actually changes shape to keep up with the new technologies. True story.

I've seen this happen to ar6's and t-halls too, not much, but it is noticable. I guess its just how armada makes their skis

I'm getting JJ's soon, what will happen with those?? :|

Should I be worried?? Will they take off and fly me to the moon??

Center mounted ARVs? Interesting...

I've seen it happen though, its pretty much your core just weakening and breaking, try to get them warrantied ASAP.

yup theyre ridiculously fun center mounted. so playful and easy to whip around.

do you think i could warranty them?

Mine were centered as well. Perfect for how I used them! I ended up warrenting mine because I had split the base in ther middle of the ski under my bindings. Each split was about 12" long and you could see the core. Needless to say, Armada came through with the warrenty.

im afraid that they wont warranty them because they have 2 mounts on them. 2 mounts shouldnt have weakened the core enough to do this

I would send them in. I bet you will get a new set of skis back. I was surprised when I got a new set back b/c my problems were because of obvious rail abuse.

How did center mounting them work? Don't they have pads in the skis to mount? When I got them mounted the guy said he wouldn't mount them as far forward as I wanted because of the mounting pads. I also feel like it would be weird to center mount a ski designed for a mount that's further back because of the shape.

I didnt have any problem with skiing them mounted center. It did take a little more effort to turn them, but that didnt bother me. I had 06-07 ARVs so I didnt have these mounting pads.

That explains a lot. They older models are a fair amount different than the newer ones, they're a lot flexier for one.

depending on the circumstances, if it is just starting to rocker in the tips, its a weakening in the core. If you have last years skis make sure they are at your shop before the end of the season. They can be warrantied.
