Arv 96 or Volkl revolt 95

I am a teen who is 173 cm, im gonna grow and i wanna get an all mtn freestyle ski. I wanna ski some pow and trees but spend some time learning new tricks as im a begginer in park. Prob like 60% all mtn 40% park on those skis. I wanna ski a bit of groomers, learn to ski switch and stuff, but ive got seperate skis for carving. I landed on those two models. Also the skis need to be pretty durable since i wanna ski them for a couple of seasons. If i get the arv its gonna be 177 but the revolt is gonna be 173.

I have the revolt 95 and i dont really like it to be honest. its got like a 22m radius its really boring as an all mountain ski so i dont suggest it especially if u are 60/40. and its also not a fun beginner park ski either i feel like its better suited for people who stomp big jumps and need stable landings. get something softer with a quiker turn radius and you are gonna have alot more fun

lol. thats actually the ski i bought after deciding i dont like my revolts and i can tell you its awesome. so fun easy to carve, lightweight, buttery. go for it you are gonna have a lot of fun!

i got a pair of ARV 96's a couple years back when I was a similar height and weight to you. I got em in the 177 and they are definitely a solid option if you plan on hitting the whole mountain. The revolt is more of a dedicated park ski. The ARV is really good for learning park tricks and expanding those tricks to the rest of the mountain. Obviously not that good in deep deep snow but probably better than the revolt.

get V’s

kidding.

Honestly, if you’re not gonna be growing much more, I wouldn’t bother oversizing your ski a shit ton it’ll just feel wonky when you start getting more and more into park, yet that being said, I do think the Volkl revolt has had some great feedback recently, and considering how durable Volkls tend to be, I’d go off the rails and maybe avoid Armada for once. I’ve been on a couple ARVs over the years and honestly they’re not the most inspiring skis.
