Artificial ski mats for water ramp

Hello,

I've been thinking of updating our ski club's water ramp with some next generation surface material. At the moment we've got some plastic studs that don't feel like snow at all and only ruin many jumpers' enjoyment.

I was wondering if any of you guys had some in-person experience of the following: Perma-snow, Snowflex and Dendix.

Which one do you think would work the best for water ramp? Any differences? Note that since it's water ramp, I'm only interested in how the surface material works. I don't really intend to fall on the inrun.

I only have experience with snowflex but I am certain you can not go wrong with it. The stuff is great. However it os pricey if I recall

if price is a problem, a bunch of people just use turf. It will ruin the base of your ski though.

Ohio dreams uses snowflex on the small ramp, and msnow on the big ramp. A lot of people seem to be sketched out by the msnow cause you pick up a lot of speed with it.

msnow will also rek your day if you happen to slip on that stuff.

I hate msnow and love snowflex... I have seen snowflex work great at multiple facilities. Don't know about the other surfaces though!

ive never seen them combined, but maybe you could use m snow for the run in, and then snowflex for the flat and the take off. might allow a shorter in run.

You'd pick up a ton of speed then hit the snowflex, scrub all your speed, jerk forward, and eat shit.

^agreed. if anything,have turf or snowflex as the run-in/ drop-in and have mSnow as the jump and transition for a little boost at the end
