Armada TST

a good buddy of mine has been riding them. in laymen's terms, they have the tip of the jj with the tail of the arv/ant. he's an armada rep and claims that it's the best all around ski they've put out so far.
it'll come out in 5 (i think) different sizes next year, so im sure it'll be a big seller for anyone looking for an everyday ski in their quiver.

Armada TST (Travis Steeger) Skis 2012: The Armada TST (Travis

Steeger) Skis are an all-mountain/big mountain tool designed to let you

explore the entire mountain; air the biggest cliffs, ski the deepest

pow, and straight-line the steepest lines. With Armada’s Patented EST

All- Mountain Rocker that boasts a progressive tip rocker and no tail

rocker, there isn’t a turn or jump on the mountain the TST can’t make.

This was the ski Travis Steeger envisioned so next time you find

yourself in the middle of a great day, or on a perfect run; un-zip your

coat, smile from ear to ear and giv’er for Travis.

Shape:Armada’s Patented EST All-Mountain Rocker boasts a progressive tip

rocker and no tail rocker. Traditional camber underfoot and in the tail

for more stability at high speeds and edge hold on hard pack.

Dimensions:156cm: 116/129/99/120 (11.5m) // 165cm: 117/130/100/121

(12.6m) // 174cm: 118/131/101/122 (14.7m) // 183cm: 119/132/102/123

(16.8m) // 192cm: 120/133/103/124 (18.9m)

Binding Compatibility:Requires a wide brake binding between 100mm and 110mm

We got them in at my shop, but haven't sold many yet. The 165 release seems weird, not sure if it will sell a lot right now. If only they released the 74 and i wouldve probably snagged a pair

you are right... armada's are built in the atomic factory

but dont you think its a little bit more probable this situation happened in reverse - with atomic ripping off the tst?

think about it... you have to parade all your shit around into someone elses factory for them to build it

whereas if you're atomic you just build your stuff whenever, you're not on someone elses schedule

i think you could rate them more to last years Czars with the tip rocker and the tapered tip(correct me if im wrong). but they looks dope

this. travis wanted a ski with the JJ tip and ANT tail aka TST. Its not like having a ski with just a tip rocker and camber is a new concept. This is just the Steeger/Armada take on it.

The access is a piece of shit compared to the tst, its not similar in flex, edge hold, stability at speed, performance in choppy snow, because the tst does all of that excedingly well and the access really doesn't. The access is a price point intermediate pow ski, and the tst is an awesome do it all ski that has amazing carving ability. As far as being a 100 underfootish tip rockered ski, there are a shit load of them, the shogun, vct turbo, hardside...etc.
