Armada TST or Rossi Soul 7?

5'10", 165lbs, would categorize as expert skier on east coast, probably a little below expert on west coast mountains.

Currently on a 183 Line SFB, but looking for a directional ski as I don't ski much park and don't ride switch. I tend to ski hard and fast on groomers and smooth fresh snow, but more precise and technical rather than bombing through when it gets chopped up. Really enjoy moguls, trees and steeps. Anyone have thoughts between the TST and Soul 7? Or just stick with the Bacons?

well they are both way stiffer than the bacons as those are overcooked noodles. i really love the soul 7s man. they shred everything so well but so do the tsts. they are very similar but id go with the rossis just because they do better in pow and ski just about the same in all other areas from my experience

Any experience with the Soul 7 at speed? I've read some reviews that claim they can get unstable at higher speeds. Are they nimble enough to get the 188 for some more effective edge but still be effective in the bumps?

yeah i actually spent most of my day on them charging down pretty variable conditions and they held up alright. they chattered a smidge and they're still a relatively soft ski so at speed they like to get a little wild. i liked them more than the tst but they are nowhere near my first choice in a that category of ski. and as someone who skis a day in the park a year and spends countless days just shredding in and out of bounds this subset of skis is the one i'm on most.

tbch i would recommend you look at something like the Atomic Automatic 102 or 109 or even a on3p billy goat or wrenegade 102 for the best of the best imo

I was having this same debate last year. I have your same height and weight and ended up with 188 Soul 7s and I love them. I can't speak much to the TSTs as I haven't ridden them. As far as at speed on groomers the 7s are as solid as any ski i have been on and they also are great in mixed conditions minus the fact that the tips can get quite chattery. They turn shorter than a totally camber 188, but remember when in tight spots that they are still 188 :) in short: *I would recommend this product to a friend*

Having only hand flexed both i would say there is much in it tbh, everybody seems to think the bacons are far softer than they are in reality...
