Armada Thall vs. ON3P Jeronimo

Looking at getting new skis next year, and I've really been looking at the Thall's but never really looked into ON3P until today, and the Jeronimos look really promising.

I ski park whenever I can (since my home resort's park sucks) but since I mostly spend ski at that home hill all mountain will definitely be a factor. I ski in southeast Idaho and Utah.

I'm about 5'8 and 150 lbs.

I think the main difference between the Thall and the Jeronimo is that the Thall is a hardcore park ski while the Jeronimo is designed for both park and all-mountain (which is what i'll be doing). Also rocker is another big difference.

Price is definitely a huge factor, so what I'm asking is can anyone give insight to these skis and are the Jeronimos worth the extra cash?

my mind is full of fuck that you're actually trying to decide between these two skis. Honestly they are COMPLETELY different animals in pretty much every way shape and form.

also you're too small to be riding a 181 length ski that isn't rockered, so a 181 t-hall is going to be way too large for you, i would even say a 181 jmo is going to be still too large for you.

thall at 86 underfoot vs. jmo at 101 underfoot.

personally i'd get the jmo, way more versatile, specifically considering the areas where you ski, the thall isn't going to hold up well in a crud filled upper mountain, where as the JMO will.

end.

if i was you id get a 176 jmo but youd be fine with a 181. im a little taller and have 186s. thalls dont have shit on the jmos outside the park

I think that is the deciding arguement right there. Plus I already have experience with riding wider, rockered skis in the park because I've been stuck with 2010 atomic access for the past two years. +K for you

Picked up a pair of Jmos, happy with them for park / all Mtn with < 6" fresh. No experience with THalls

I've had both (and center mounted both). Both are VERY different skis.

THall: 120-87-110 (@ 181), soft, fully cambered, no early rise, extruded base, cap/sidewall (cap tip and tail, sidewall underfoot), very park oriented, wood core (can't remember the material, maybe fir), skied well, fairly responsive, works best on groomers and in the park.

Jmo: 131-101-124 (@ 181), stiff, very rockered tip and tail, mild camber underfoot, sintered base, full sidewall, all-mountain/park oriented, wood core (bamboo), snappy, responsive, can handle pretty much every thing on the mountain (awesome in all conditions up to about 8 inches of fresh, can probably handle more, but I have other skis for that so I never really tried), great on groomers but can still rock the park (my go-to spring park ski, still fun, but surfs on the slush).
