Armada THALL question

hey newschoolers

I've got a question regarding to mounting to the true center

I'm a 95% of park skier 70 jumps 30 rails. I bought 171 Thall which I'd found true center marked as 0 on the skis was about 15mm to the tip from where I measured from tip and tail to the center.

eventhough the true center was marked abit close to the tip, I get them mounted to where we'd physically found true center.

I want newschoolers opinion about what I've done

Thanks!

i do the same thing with my skis. I mount them true center and not core center and it works fine for me

it might be.. i have never skied armadas but on my skis (k2) the center marked on the ski is the core center ( usually where the ski is thickest and most durable) but I mount mathematical center... like very center of the ski... not the core.

Did the right thing, but I will tell you that you should mount them like 1 back from true at least. The ski will perform better cause its not a symmetrical ski. Even Thall mounts them 2.5 back for urban skiing. I use to rock them straight true center but now I perfer them at least 1 back. Just my thoughts, hope it helps.

What would be the precise effect of mounting them true center instead of 1 back from it?

Also, to the OP, how are they?

its not going to be that different, either way^ if you mount further foward than the ski is designe for it can be a little getting used to, your edge pressure under foot during turns isn't on the ideal part of the ski, so you kind of have to tail gun to get your edge to bite.
