you have to be more specific man, but overall, the ar5 is a much, much better ski. more versatile, stiffer, i believe a little wider. not sure of the specs on either off the top of my head.
i have this years, i like em' alot for just a park ski, and they didnt delam for me, but next years are supposidly more of an all mt. tiwn tip, or so it said in some article, they are wider and stiffer, and dont come with de-tuned edges.
what the fuck are you talking about? they're fine for actual skiing.
i'm so sick of hearing people say these skis are "useless outside the park". fuck that shit. i bet half you people that say that shit have never skied on them, or took one run on them and decided to make a full on opinion on their overall performance.
ye ai agree they are fine for normal skiing, but they are so soft, i cant weight mine up the way i weight up my race skis, but they work, and they are pretty fun in moguls
i'ev skiied them and i think they're horrible anywhere but in the park.
of course though with any soft ski and a centermount they aren't going to be amazing. it's not that you can't ski them outside the park, it's just that there are much better tools for the job.
nonetheless if you want to get technical, jeff is correct.
yea, exactly...but kids are just sayin they're useless outside the park. i didn't find mine all that bad to just shred around on. it's even worse when kids say they will suck all around cause the edge is dulled underfoot.
it's not like i'm saying it's an ill ski outside the park, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be.
the ar5's are a solid ski, they can hold up any where on the mountian including the pow. there stiffer than the thalls and dont have a de-tuned edge's. thats the main reason they people say they cant ski on the out of the park, because the under foot is rounded. heres a idea kiddies who are giving out advise and sjouting out random shit that you know nothing about stay out of these type to threads.
its good but its gay how they put the flex points in front and behind the binding instead of the tips and tails but since they did this it wont chatter as much at speed
oh....it still chatters.or something. it gets real loose sometimes at high speeds. yea can ride them all over just fine its not like its unskiable other than the park..it just doesnt excell in some situations. and the flex points are amazing for nose slides and such...but it makes landing the slightest bit backseat impossible. none the less i love them. you should get them
I am not trying to shit on you or anything, but I personally do not like soft skis for all mountain. You can still ski pretty well, but it is not fun to rip on them, and loading up the edges is not recommended.
