Armada T-Hall, shocking durability?

I bought a pair of T-Halls about a month ago now. First of all I did a slight rail tap.....ripped out edge and knuckled base on the tip. Today, putting my skis in the car on the other ski, on the tip, yet another ripped out edge where it's seperated from the ski. Admittedly I ride hard and hit a lot of metal.....but this is a Joke. Anyone else found anything similar like this? I swear Armada were meant to be known for durability....

Wow, looks like you tapped a rail or something thats not covered on warranty. What do you think happens when you slam the side of a ski at high speed into a metal object.

Dude, they're freestyle skis, supposedly built for this kind of impact. This shouldn't have happened this easily.

yeah this. when i was at keystone for 2 weeks a i saw walker reppin mint suspects, then 5 days later i saw em again an they were raped. i could tell they were the same cause of same sticker set up

The funny part is though, I did no rail taps since then, and the other edge at the tip has come off, no bonk....looks like a glue problem or manufacturing problem.

one of my mates and a fellow member has some armada pipe cleaners. He brought them and after 2 weeks they were in worse condition than my ski's i'd been using all season! 3 cracked edges and the top sheet was hacked to bits!
Fair enough he was hitting rails etc in the park where as I was only occasionally in the park and not hitting rails/boxes, but his old head park ski's held up a lot better.
Are we seeing a trend here in new armada ski's? Could this just be a few poor models? (the pipe cleaners are ltd edition).
Before anyone slates me saying 'The are meant for pipe, not rails etc' I don't believe that for a second, hitting a few small rails should not do this to ski's, regardless of their purpose.

Call me crazy, but I think there might be something to the fact that your skis are fine and you dont hit rails, and his skis are hammered and he hits rails. It might be crazy, I know, so if you need me, I'll be in my lab.

^lol
but really, i've been skiing these in the park all season at breck and key and these have been holding up really well for me. been hitting rails all day and even hit some urban on them. if the one ski that you didn't nail on the tap isn't holding up you might have a case then. just email armada

mine have held up super well on around 60 days on them mind you ive only probably skied a few weeks of park last season but ive hit urban on them and skied them in my backyard alot to, still no edge cracks, theres an edge dent like that on one of my tips but its not that bad

yeah comparing against my ski's was not the best option (even if I have hit lots of rocks etc, and i'm no lab scientit like yourself, but hitting rock will do more damage than steel). I was just trying to put across the fact that my mates brand new armada ski's appear to have really poor durability, to help determine if this was a common factor with new armada ski's as per the thread title.
That might well help out people who are thinking about purchasing the same brand / model. He has the head ski's for a whole season and was hitting similar stuff, and ended up cracking just 1 edge vs 3 (although one ski did break at the core at the end)

rails fuck shit up. plain and simple. my atomic punx after 3 weeks of an all rail park my edge and 1/2 an inch of the base seperated from the ski on the center of the ski.

I know exactly what you mean! I mean all I did was a slight pole tap with my car...

WARRANTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

but seriously... this is essentially the same thing you are trying to pull here

Yeah, the difference is though, I'm not going to go pole tap my car any time soon......Even if it wasn't a rail tap, I could have easily done the same thing not making it onto a step-up rail and cmacking one of the skis. All I'm saying is that my ski (not talking about the Armada range or other T-halls) is not fit for purpose.

Unless Armada personally came to your house and pissed on your rug, they aren't responsible.

And by "pissed on your rug" I mean slammed your skis into a metal pole.

same thing happened to my skis, do i care? no... its skiing in the park, i knew it was going to reck my skis. nothing can be done.

Does anyone know how many sets of skis TC get through? Just curious..

Also, I think that you should find Tanner and complain to him personally, since it's his fault that he didn't make a ski that could take you packing dynamite into your boots and blowing them up.. He should know, of all people.

I have last years AR7s which i imagine are built almost 100% the same way, and ive done what you described countless times and did not get that result... B oth skis have been hit many times and its there is a dent on both of them at most. Some scratches too. Maybe its not from the rail

this. my ar7s are bombproof. i have a little bit of topsheet chipping but that has been the case with armada for years. my homie has last years t-halls and 2 or 3 years ago t-halls and they remain bombproof to this day and hit hits mad urban and rails

from the picture its clear that you didnt just "tap" a rail. it looks more like you slammed your ski into a lift tower in the middle of a 60 mph 1080

right. in my experience with my 4 pairs of armadas, you have to be literally abusing your park skis. no more does "abusing" mean hitting rails, like it used to. it means proper abuse now

forgive me if that didnt make any sense at all

A lot of people have good luck with Armada skis, but i hated my ar5s two seasons ago. they had similar edge cracks and the tip of one of the skis split leaving them useless.. This was when i just had started park and barely hit rails too.

lets hope my switch back to armada goes well this season with my halos.

That is really unlike armada. Even though that isn't warranty my armada never had an edge rip out or crack
