Armada Pipe Cleaners, Line Chronics or maybe Line Elizabeths?

So I'm looking for a ski that i can ski everywhere with ease. I want a ski thats fun and playful in the park and groomers but can still charge on powder days and ducking ropes. I ski about 50% groomers, 25% off course/powder and the occasional 20-25% percent park. I'm looking for a good stable ski that is super sick off jumps, can charge and of course looks sick. Which one do you guys think is the best choice? Give me any thoughts on these skis that you have

I'm 5'10" 129 pounds and I'm 15 and a half and this was my first legit season this year, i went up about 9-10 days. I really want a good ski for charging and one thats gonna handle crud but still be palyful and good in park. But i'd say I mainly find my own lines through trees and off piste stuff thats mainly what i do so i want a ski thats gonna handle it all and charge.

for armada I would say not to go with the PC the base is a little soft and gets trashed on rails from what i've seen. I would go T-Hall or AR6. For line I would say the Elizabeths would be a great ski for your hight/weight. Do you like wide or more narrow skis?

I have pipe cleaners for park and elizabeths for all mountain. The pipe cleaners are decent all over the mountain, but they suck in powder because there only like 81 in the waist. The lizzies are super fun to mess around all over the moutain with and they kill it in powder. I don't really like them in the park cuz my bindings suck and they always come off. If you're looking for something super versatile look at the seth or something like that. Or just get pcs and lizzies it's a dope set up

Yo

So when you mean first legit season do u mean first legit season doing park? Or first season skiing? Also, what skis were u on last year?

Ok so my recomendation is to go with the foils. Ur skinny and sound like u want to go all over. I rode them as my first park ski way back when and they are really great tools for the beggining park rider - light, easy to spin, very poppy. Also, if u arent too heavy, they are pretty dope all mountain.

They do shake in crud at high speeds and now I only ride wood core skis ever since Ive gotten better and gained wiehgt.

But, assuming I'm getting the right impression of u, they could be perfect. Go with either the 174 or 181. Dont even dare thing about the 166. Promise? Ok

Also mount em up with dem solly STH 12 foO!

Yeah, PC's and Chronics are gonna feel way too stiff if this is ur second year riding park and if u weigh wat u say u do. Lizzies could be good but, in my opinion, going more traditional is smart while ur still a noobly noob.

u dont want either of those...they are both on the stiff side and you probabley wont find them playfull at all...id check the scratch brigade and ghetto they are still on the stiffer side but are a bit more tuned to what your lookin for

Foils are not very stable through crud and high speeds, because I'd definitly say I like to ski more out of park then in the park. If i was going to classify my skiing it would probably be about all-mountain freestle (hitting naturally made jumps, jibs etc. cliffs, charging through powder, trees, ducking ropes and some random play and goofing around.) I ride basically everywhere. I want a ski to fill this job and not break my wallet.

well i was in that situation a while ago and DON'T be like me and get PEs.

anyway, i'm gonna say the rossignol scratch ghettos. i demoed those a while ago and they were really stable yet poppy, despite being way too short for me (i'm 6'' 1' and they were 166). i could bomb groomers and icy stuff comfortably, unlike the 166 foils where i felt i was gonna die (again they were too short, and that was probably why they felt so unstable). so i'd say scratch ghettos, although i think u'd be fine on the 181 foils considering ur only like 130 lbs.

do the scratches float good? and how durable are they? can they charge and handle ducking ropes, trees and some chopped up pow pow?

yea they totally pwn at ducking ropes

lol idk i only skied them for like a few hours in icy conditions in stowe. if ur gonna be doing a lot of powder i'd get something fatter, but if you're anywhere on the east coast go for it. the dimensions are 116-84-109, so they're not gonna float as well as the foils but if you get them long enough (181) they'll do fine in the occasional pow pow. and yeah, like i said they're stable and charge well. i was just impressed cause they had the poppy-ness of the foils and good stability, without being 40 pounds like my PEs.

why do you think AR6, do they fill all the things i want. Can they charge good, and hit up trees and duck ropes? The skiing i do most is adventurous findind my own jibs, jumps, cliffs, and trails with a little bit of mixed powder.

HAHAHAHA dude u said u get some random play on ur skis...NICE

Also all skis can duck ropes

Finally, I ride the AR6, sick ski, very stable but doesnt float as well as the foil. Here's the deal, Im hearing u and and what u like to do and it sounds like u prefer a lot of the things I like. (U live out west?)

However, unless ur gonna gain some weight or grow, skis like surface live life's and chronics and even the Ar6 a bit r a little bit too stiff.

Also about the Ar6, its a very poppy and energetic ski, but not crazy on the butter and is relatively stiff. I think that a 181 or 174 foil would be perfect. I know uve read (unless uve skied them) that they dont handle in crud well (which for anyone over 150 the dont) but for some1 ur size and for someone who seems to want a playful ski, they could be dope. Also, a lot like me, ur wanting a ski to do like EVERYTHING. Truth is they dont make one. U cant get a ski that is uber jibby and playful yet still able to bust up crud, while being able to rip bumps and trees AND float.

Ive found out east the AR6 is close to perfect for me. I like a ski that skis more like a traditional ski and prefer sitffness in tight situations to flexy skis. But again this isnt about me but just giving some tips

Anyways, wat about the Armada El Ray...not TOO burly, but nice dimensions for u

SORRY TO HATE BUT-

"9-10 Days" thats not fucking legit at all

like 35 to 50 is legit

Stay with your k2 Commanches Retard GTFO-

shut the fuck up you fucking dumbass. I'm a kid who still has school and i couldnt start my season until january because I had basketball and stuff. I've gone up almost every weekend besides like 2 or 3 since the first week of january so shove it.

^pwn

haha zrob u've made like six or eight threads asking about totally different skis each time, just pick a ski bud.

volkl birdges. buy them and quit making threads

I have pipe cleaners and i love them i've used them in everything heavily except park they worked fine in powder and are excellent for jumps i haven't tried them on rails

Firstly i ride pipe cleaners, and they baned jumps where i worked so ive been sliding rails all season and they have held up perfectly well, only a few buffs that will base grind out... However i worked as the ski and board tech so i did maintain them well since i got bored during the day :P

However if yur ducking ropes and skiing 25% park and the rest like groomed runs and powder, have a look at the ARV's 175. Id say thats yur best bet.

Wait till next year. Armada is coming out w/ a sweet new ski just fo slopstyle but its top secret. But if you want a good all around ski, get the next years ARVS. Best ski ive ever skied on.

Hey man, the key here is to not be a bitch. I'm in high school taking essentially all AP courses and I still found time to go up 40 times this season. I live in New York so my season starts late and ends early. So shut up and ski more.

if you're sorry to hate, dont hate at all my internet friend. Getting out there is getting out there, 10 days or 50 you're all skiers and having a good time.

As for as skis, if you like a softer ski, like a snowboard, Elizabeth. or a more traditional wider waist ski that can go anywhere, Blend. Good luck.

B-runge - you're super weak. don't hate because someone didn't go skiing as much as you think they should. Not everyone can be a full-time ski bum or be near a mountain all the time.
