if your really going to be dropping stuff get the magic j. its much stiffer and broader contact for stabiltity as well. your gunna have a much damper landing platform. meaning it wouldnt rebound.

 
the biggest difference between the two is the radius. that makes the magic j require a bit more skill to maneuver but it won'd be quite as squirelly at ultra-speeds. basically, if you're more advanced, perhaps the magic j would be better for you. if you're still learning in the backcountry arena, the jj offers lots of help and will drastically shorten your learning curve.
 
JJ: Better for trees, very quick and slashable.

Magic J: More stability, better at high speeds and open zones.
 
Honestly, the Magic only has a 20 meter turn radius. The JJ is kind of an anomoly with it's tiny turn radius. Magic J still seems very maneuverable.

Anyone who thinks these are charging ski's doesn't know what the fuck a charging ski is.
 
The flex pattern on the Magic J seems a lot more abrupt than the JJ because it's stiffer under foot. Any thoughts on how this would affect how they ski?
 
Honestly i would go with the JJ's. They are a great ski and i am not saying because you are so young you may not be stomping fat lines and need the stability of the magic J's but i think the JJ is just a better ski for all around in the boundary skiing since you are going to be seeing alot of varied terrain and snow conditions.

My vote = JJ's
 
OK, so they are VJJ's. I got them because I'm only about 125 lbs. The only difference is the VJJ has a softer flex by .5 on the scale if I'm not mistaken. "Women's" skis are good for me! Really, Sagi loves them. He will not sit on crappy skis. Until I fully tuned the new skis he would not sit on them. Go figure.

I know a "girl" who likes them too!

Revie/fernie is pretty much soft trees 90% of the time so you don't need the versatility of somewhere like whistler or Colorado for in between storms. Magic J's could be your ticket. If your really gonna be dropping those huge cliffs at revy then your going to want the extra stability, I just can't imagine dropping anything on a 12m turn radius ski.

If your not set on armada I'd check out surface one lifes, atomic chets, moment night trains.......
