5'6" 135 Type 3 Skier, done growing
For skiing east coast pow days/trees and spending 2-3 weeks out west every winter, does anyone have any idea of what ski would suit me better?
I realize that probably not many people have skied the CRJ but someone must know a little about it.
Thanks, +K

http://www.tetongravity.com/FORUMS/showthread.php?t=156125somebody who has ACTUALLY USED BOTH put the CRJ as the best pow-jib ski. It looks like the only ski of that type that's fairly well known that he hasn't skied is LL2s. He put CRJs as best, Night Trains second, Chetlers third, so JJ didn't even make top 3. Everybody who has skied CRJs and NTs seems to put them as there favorite pow-jib ski. I skied Chetlers, and found them too short and a bit too soft for me, but I'm 6'1". They are really poppy from turn to turn and a fun ski though..and apparently similar to JJs. I ended up with LL2s but would have gotten CRJs if I knew about the deal I was offered later. You could check with Surface, they might have some used/blem 09 LL2s or something.

I would look into Moment N.T's for sure.

Unfortunately I have yet to ride a pair myself, but I hear they just slay. Bibby Pro's would be a great choice as well.

I think the night trains would be too wide for me. I feel like I'm already pushing the width thing with the JJs or CRJ's or whatever it may be.
One reason I'm leaning towards the JJ's is the 14.3 m radius. I think that would be beneficial on the tight east coast tree runs.

I think you are sadly mistaken. That whole thread talks about the ARG. The JJ is an outstanding ski. Rode it today in powder on Whistler and man does it ever shred. JJ is a fantastic versatile powder oriented ski. I don't know much about the CRJ but all I know is that you can't go wrong with the JJ. Wether the CRJ is the better choice is up to you and your preference.
