What would be the best bindings for under 150$ to put on them I have a pair of axiums i could throw on but im hesitante

It's difficult to say what binding would suit without knowing height weight etc. I'm assume you'll be using the skis for pow and maybe some all mountain too and you're a level 3/3+ skier.Until I/we know this I difficult to say what kind of din range you need.

Bindings costing ~$150 new and which are season are likely to be entry level bindings/junior bindings (similar to the axiums), which might not be appropriate for you height/weight/skiing style. However you may be able to pick up some more suitable bindings which are new, but from past seasons here -http://untracked.com or here -http://www.evo.com/outlet/default.aspx. If you're not worried about your bindings being new you may be able to pick up bindings for cheap on the sell and trade forums here or on TGR.

Also in future any threads about gear are better suited to gear talk here -https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/forumthreads/cat_id/25/. See if you can get a mod (green name) to move the thread for you. Lastly if you need anything else feel free to pm me.

I have look p12 jibs on my JJs and they work very well. You can usually find them cheaply online. Don't go with used bindings. It isn't worth the saving...

"dont buy used bindings. its not worth it."

if you wanna pay $300 for a binding without scratches, when you could buy the same binding for $150 with some smudges and scratches, go right ahead.

there is no reason to not buy a used binding if you are buying a higher quality one.

Bindings are more than just cosmetics. What about the condition of the spring? How do you know it hasn't rusted? Or what if the previous owner kept his retention on 12/12 the entire time and didn't back it off over the summer months? This wears out the spring very quickly on a 12 DIN binding. What about the condition of the anti-friction plate?

i said high-end binding. You are talking about 12 DIN kid bindings...in which case buy new cause they arent expensive.

You take a certain risk when you buy anything used that the condition wont be what you thought. But a used binding is no more a dangerous buy than a used jacket. The shop that mounts them still has to do all the tests to ensure the binding is in proper working order.
