Hello NS,

Will getting new ski's soon

It have to be a park ski, but I also want to ski slopes normal.

I was looking for some Halo's and the AR7's maybe the Atomic Punx are another option? and what bindings do you guys recommend.

I'm 183cm(6.0 feet?) Tall and 70KG(154 Pounds?)

Thanks

i would go with the halo for sure, they rip the whole mountain and are awesome in the park, i have fks 140 bindings and love them

actually they do, i have the alpha 1s, pretty much the same exact thing, my best friend has the halos, iv ridden them a bunch of times and my little brother has AR7 so i know how they compare to the AR7, there great all over the mountain

This likewise a punx is pretty much 100% park, I would go ar7 if I were you, you can't go wrong with ar7s, hopefully I'll be picking a pair up this summer in the sales

Ok so i have had 3 full days on my new halos (got them a few weeks ago at an end of the season sale) and I previously had suspects, and I must say the suspects were a bit better out of the park. The other side though is that the Halos act INCREDIBLY well in the park. They have super low swing weigh, are light, responsive, and very stable even with the twin rocker. It all comes down to preference. I love my new Halos, and im sure AR7's are great too. I am sure you will like whichever you decide.

all are great skis. punx and halo are lass all mountain but more forgiving. were as the ar7 will do better out of park but much stiffer....better for big jumps

Thanks for the Replies! Did a test on both of them and the El Rey's in the park. So still don't know how they ski on the slopes.. what do you guys think of the El Rey's cause I like them too!

The Halo's are more fun ski's but the Ar7 did ski nice too! like them both. so park is not a problem for all three of them..

Still have to know how they react on the slopes, hopefully I have a change to ride them.

Anyone any further advice for me?

The el ray would be best all mountain, but they all ski different. The AR7 is much stiffer than the halos. If you like jumping get the ar7. If you like playing around go for halos.

You can feel the differents between de halo's and the Ar7's. they were pretty stiff if you compare them to the halo's just a different feel!

It depends, Im 165 with a racing background and it feels alright for me, but I ski in the midwest so Its not like I am charging anything. Since the ski is so light if you get it larger, you will get more float, stability, and it will seem to be stiffer. I got 176's and they are fine for me, so you should be fine.

Thanks! Got a great deal on the Ar7 181 and the halo's 182.Only the bindings is still unsure for me. can get new rossi axial 120's really cheap.

Anybody familiar with those bindings? or anyone with stories?

"Decent" binding if a 12 din's appropriate for you. They're on the better side for pre-release and elastic travel. They're drawbacks are a large footprint/ hole pattern, weight and occasionally durability.

how did the stiffness of the ar7's feel? do you think it would be hard going from a softer ski (masterminds) to stiffer skis (ar7)?

I'm going to throw out the thalls in that line up. Its the softer version of the ar7(same dimensions) and can hold up on jumps and can hit rails more forgiving than the ar7
