so hello,

GENERAL:

i am 6'2", just under 190 lbs and need park only skis. idc about pow-ability or general all-mountain ability.

SKI HISTORY:

ive ridden ar5s in like '03 to '06 and they were great, then had k2 silencers (the all black ones) and currently i ride '08 or so ar6s, also a good ski.

PARK RIDING STYLE:

i dont really hit jumps under 25 ft and they go up to 60 or so, and do also a little bit of rails, but nothing extraordinary. maybe 75/25 jumps/rails.

SHOP SITUATION:

i could get all of these skis for the same money in a end of season sale. cant really test them.

MY THOUGHTS SO FAR:

obviously i could live well with the ar7/thall because i have ridden ar5s/ar6s for the better part of the last decade. but i am intrigued by the whole shape thing of the halo and the alpha. if i go into that direction, i would tend towards the alpha given my size because its a bit stiffer. basically i just wanna know if anyone made a similar switch and did like the alpha in the park.

could you explain that? i am obviously pretty experienced on "normal" skis given my "skiing age" but i never got to ride these "newer" fancy sidecut/flex/long tips things, so idk what you mean.

Get the thall. As someone who has ridden basically everything, shapes, sizes and cuts. The thall is just the shit, best park ski ive ever been on.

i have both this years halos and alphas. i do more rails so im on the halos more but if i know im gunna be seshing jumps i will ride the alphas. i have my halos in 176 and alphas in 182. i enjoy the halos more, they are a little bit more playful but still love the alphas
