It's foam core, I think. That's what makes it affordable, but I've heard raves about them from the few people who have skied them.

well the topsheet on cap skis wraps all the way around to the edge

on sandwiched skis their is a separate sidewall on the side, the topsheet doesn't go all the way down

personally I think people put too much emphasis on it, there are good cap skis and good sandwich skis

It's almost the same as thrusters? Can someone confirm this because that is what I have gathered.
