Armada El Rays?

I have been thinking about getting a pair of Armada El Rays and I was just wondering how they've worked for anyone who has rode on them before. Also, any other suggestions for skis that aren't too expensive would be greatly appreciated.

Are you kidding me? Just because they made a dick move doesn't mean their skis automatically suck. Yeah I can understand that you don't want to support them but the quality is amazing.

no, well yeah, well el reys do suck in terms of durability (cheapest quality of armadas line) my buddy destroyed a pair in half a season.

Nah, not Line at all. Armada makes a good ski, then I'd say K2, and Line is way below K2 for me. But there are many skis better than Lines, they're really not that special, at least IMO.

The el reys are a great price point ski, of course armada does make better skis than the el rey, but they ski very well. If u r looking for a ski to beat on rails all day everyday, then I might suggest looking for something with a sidewall construction, or a couple pairs of used skis that u can beat the shit out of. If ur looking for a ski that u can rip around on and take into the park every once in a while, i'd say do it. If u do end up breaking them or having delam issues, armada does have very good customer service

the 2011 El Reys are actually pretty good, Hornbeck rides them every now and then, which makes Armada, Line and K2 pretty much the only companies that have Pro riders that choose to ride their Price Point skis (Hornbeck rides the El Reys, Garrett Russell rides the Masterminds, and Margetts rides the Silencers), so if you're only in the market for a price point ski, those would be the ones I'd look at.
