Armada B dogs vs Edollo

I’m looking for a ski that I can ride park well but still hit all mountain hard as well. I live in the Midwest so I’m usually skiing park but when I go out west I only hit all mountain. Which ski would be the best option to tackle both in a good way? I’m only worried that the bdogs are too soft to do all mountain. I’m looking at 2023 btw.

Based on your description, I don't think you would regret going with the Edollos. I think their design and extra stiffness will be appreciated out of the park yet they are still obviously a great park ski. I'm sure you could have a lot of fun with the Bdogs as an all-mountain ski, but I bet they get squirrelly in variable snow.

Thank you!

Edollos can literally do it all, from cliffs to butters to jumps and low speed jibs. Only downside is shit durability

I’d the durability a problem? I saw a video saying they were made to be abused

I’m adding on to this, if im doing all mountain and park where should I mount the bindings? True center or a different position? Thanks

Yes. Armada typically makes durable skis but the edollos have a plastic sidewall. Mine blew out in less than 10 days of riding. The only other bad thing about them is they’re also kinda heavy

I ride mainly park and I went -.5

I can second the durability issue. My Edollo sidewalls did blow out with less than 20 days of riding (not super hard in the park either). I really did enjoy the skis though, so I wanted to find something similar. The closest thing I've found has been the Fat-ypus L-toros which I basically like better in every way and they are crazy durable. As for your mounting question I wouldn't be too afraid to deviate from a true center mount. A lot of park skis these days are fine being mounted even up to -2.5cm from true center and you will be glad you did if you ever catch the odd pow day.

I mounted my Edollos at -1 and love them there. They're a very versatile park ski and feel amazing on jumps because the tails aren't rockered, and the medium flex is stable without being too stiff to play around. Landing on them feels very smooth. Took a while to get used to the weight + width on rails but no problems there after a few days. They're decent all-mountain too but I have other skis for that.

Unlike the other poster's mine lasted a long time. They have about 80 days on them and only one blown sidewall, no missing edge. I ski rails pretty hard and they've put up with lots of shit. They're still ridable even though I replaced them with some ARV 96s (edollos are better btw)

Is it only on the new ones with bad sidewall? I have the 2019 and been skiing hard on them and this year the edges broke bit before that they was holding up good. Also got a core shot but was skiing on that over a year i have not had problem with the sidewall

I have heard a couple people say this. All sidewalls are plastic unless its a cap construction. Typically UHMW or ABS. Edollos and Bdogs both come with ar75 sidewalls which is a combo of cap and sidewall construction. They have the same sidewalls and I am pretty sure armada uses ABS.

This guy does ski rails hard, can confirm

Haven’t skied either of them but the bdog shape is so cool and unique that it really must be your only option
