how do the armada arvs ride pow?

My buddie wants to sell me a pair of arvs with atomic bindings for 300 i want some skis thatll ride powder but still can handle the other parts of the mountain, any thoughts?

They will be alright. Not great, by any means, but they wont be the worst option. My friend did it for a while, and I was never a problem

That said, I definitely wouldn't buy them as a pow ski. If you want a park skithay can handle occasional light powder, theyre fine. If you want a ski for primarily pow, find something else

I've ridden the original ARV's since the first year they made them.

They are amazing skis. Very responsive. Lots of pop. Quick edge to edge. Great for quick turns in steep chutes. The edges can be pushed very hard. Great ski in pow up to knee deep.

This sums it up pretty well. They were my 1 ski quiver until I got some CRJs for really deep days. The ARV is really buttery so in deep pow you can kinda just pop em and they'll float. As the other guy said, if you're buying them as your pow ski, you'll probably want something with a bigger waist. If you wanna be able to do everything from ski pow, steep lines, trees, jumps, rails, etc... it can do em all.
