ARMADA ARV VS ALPHA 1 VS AR7

yo dude i would get the alpha 1 or halo !!! there fucking sooo good and light and there such a good park ski!!! like one of the best i think! the elf shoe tech is so different and its so good for carving in between the rails and there both really stable

Have you even tried those skis or just watched the product reviews on thier site?

Op: It would be helpfull if you mentioned what you like in a ski.

I have owned both alpha1 and ar7 and i have to say ar7 is a way better ski. Much more stable and playfull. You have to be a pretty good skier to have fun on alphas because they will wash out easily on sketchy landings. They also feel stiffer but are pretty easy to butter with and they lack of pop which got pretty annoying after a while.

I want something that has some give to it i am in a tough place because it is so hard to decide whether i want the rocker or regular camber

size i believe i would go with 181 ar7 and 182 for alphas

I've never tried the AR7s but other people seem to really like them. To me they seem like a pretty basic park ski done exactly right. A very strong candidate for my next pair of park skis.

The Alphas, on the other hand, I have actually tried. I hated them. I thought they were too narrow, too stiff, too lifeless and simply put they just sucked. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

yeah i demoed both of them at my local mountain and there not dead at all your the only kid i ever heard say that there dead and lifeless!! and everything i said is true becuase i did try them! and I would recommend them to everyone! i would get the halos becuase i dont like a ski that is to stiff so thats why the HALO is better for me but the alpha 1 should be a awesome ski if this kids ends up getting them! and my first park ski ever was the AR7 and there also a dope ass ski which i also loved! but its up to the kid to decide its personal preference

So i recommend both skis to you but i like a different ski and thats what you get in the alpha 1s becuase there diffrent then a traditional ski like the AR7!

For the love of god use some punctuation, that was painful to read.

And I'm just commenting on my experience. I had high hopes for the Alphas and was totally let down by them. I thought they made them too stiff to be really buttery and playful, but because of the narrow waist and early rise they aren't too stable either. Basically a ski that doesn't excel in anything. I just think that Armada totally missed the mark on them. Luckily they have other very good skis in their lineup.
