Armada ARV 96 vs Faction Prodigy 2.0

Hi everyone I need some help deciding on a ski to buy for next season. I ride prob 75% groomers and 25% park, however I'm looking to ski a lot more park in the upcoming years. I'm really torn between the Armada ARV 96 and the Faction Prodigy 2.0. Does anyone have a recommendation as to which ski I should buy? I can get the ARV's for around $100 cheaper then the prodigies but doesn't play too much of a factor as in which ski I should buy, I simply wanna get the best one for me personally.

I’ve owned both and prefer the Prodigy because it fits MY style better. That being said, the Prodigy is a little “surfier” and looser feeling, so it’s fun to slide around and butter and pop. Edges are also 2.5mm which stands up to rail skiing. The Prodigy requires a good skier to get the best out of it if that makes sense. The ARV is definitely a very accessible ski in the sense that it’s easy to ski. Also pretty playful, I found it to be slightly hookier in deeper snow and slush, and sometimes switch takeoffs I would get stuck. But overall, a great, lightweight ski that’s great for learning new park tricks.

The prodigy 2.0 in any of the collab editions are AWESOME in reallife, heck even the "regular" one is.

Prodigy is stiffer a tad skiffer in entire ski, and depending on your height has some different intervalls of lengths.

Here (europe) you can score the prodigy for like 270-299 eur including tax, pretty much same as ARV96

Thanks sm for the quick reply, I'm 6'0 165 lbs. In terms of style I like doing playful tricks like butters and I love hitting side hits as well. I like skiing park but I don't do it much because I'm pretty garbage at it lol. Looking to hopefully learn a lot more this upcoming season and spend more time there. I have a friend that has the prodigy 2.0 so I've seen those in hand and I really like them. However, none of my local stores had the ARV's so I was only able to get a good sense of those from reviews online. I was looking at the collabs on the prodigies and those are so sick. Artwork on the ARVs is pretty dope as well. Another factor is I'm going to be skiing in multiple parts of the U.S. with whichever skis I get. I'm gonna be on the icy east coast as well as some better conditions on the west coast next year. Might even be skiing the crappy midwest as well, so I definitely need something that can handle all around conditions. Hope this helps to provide more details, thanks

Prodigy 2.0 is definitely more versatile
