Armada ARV 106 vs 106ti

Anyone ski both of these and can compare them? Also where did you end up mounting?

Thanks!

I've only spent a bit of time on the regular ARV 106 but the main differences seemed to come down to stiffness, damping, and swing weight. The Ti version feels a bit stiffer, is a bit smoother on rough snow, and requires a bit more effort to swing around in the air. So the more you care about stability, the more sense the Ti version makes. The more you care about freestyle performance, the more I'd recommend the standard version. They were both really fun skis and pretty versatile, just some subtle differences.

And I don't spin a ton and like to drive the front of my skis a bit, so I ended up liking the 188 cm ARV 106 and 106Ti with the bindings at around -5. I liked the 180 cm ARV 106Ti better at recommended around -2 just cause I thought I didn't get a whole lot out of that ski by mounting back and wanted to maximize playfulness instead.

Damp is the name of the game for the 106ti. Luke said it all above really, only reason to go with the regular one is if you’re looking for the buttery feel with a lighter swing weight but even so, the Ti is still playful in its own right.

Wish the Ti was a regular production model, it’s a ski that deserves more attention. I’m gonna ride my white ones to death.
