Armada AR7 vs. Salomon Suspect vs. Volkl Ledge

Looking into getting a new pair of skis. As an east coast skier I mostly ski groomers, plus im working my way into park skiing. I would prefer to become a park skier entirely seeing as my little home mountain, Jiminy Peak, lacks exciting stuff so i have to find ways to entertain myself. However, based on the people i ski with i am often thrown down the same old groomers by default. Based on Freeskier Magazine's reviews, they say the suspect and ledge are better skis overall, but in personal reviews people complain about their durability. I feel myself leaning towards the Ledge personally. Any advice...

Suspects generally seem to be liked until they fall apart, which seems to happen to most of them.

I ride ar7's and love them, stiff enough for groomers and jumps yet still playful. I have never seen a complaint about Armada skis, and the ar7 is based on the ar6 which was a very popular ski. there are better ar7 reviews if you search.

Suspects fall apart, and I have last years ledges and they're still in amazing condition for all the times ive fucked with em.

I guess i can cross the suspects off the list, don't wanna spend almost 500 on a ski and blow out the edges by the end of the season, any one know about the atomic punx thats another ski i noticed, seems similar to the suspect

That's good to hear, they seem to fit me best i just hope that this year's model is just as durable. Do they ride well on groomers as well as park?

screw the suspects. unless you want a new pair of skis in 3 months time
i ride AR6s but i havent ridden the AR7s. the AR6s are siiiiick. they're pretty much bulletproof and to the best of my knowledge are lighter than the volkls, if that helps in any way...

I was literally in the same decision this year. But another ski I was considering is the: line chronic cryptonite.. I ended up getting the ar7's and they are the best ski I have ever ridden. Soft yet I ski alot of ice and crud and they carve into it well. Killer all around ski. Armada=waaayyy better then most skis out there. Doit.

ive got the Ar7s and my cousin who i ride with has the Ledges, both are sick skis but the AR7s seem to be more park based

I love my AR7, so stable on jumps it's insane. I really recommend it, playful but still serious if you wanna hit something huge.

searchbar man... but ledges are sweet park skis that you can abuse however badly you want.. suspects and AR7s are similar though. you cant really go wwrong

i got ledges this year, they are ridiculously light, as far as durabilty they seem fine, i only have one edge crack under foot that isnt a problem, but i land back seat too often and the tails are pretty stiff which results in pain, id consider ar7s if they are softer, but idk how you ski so hopefully this helps
