Armada alpha 1's

umm looking for some new skis for next season and ive been looking at the armada alpha 1's, good choice?

im looking for a park ski that can still rip on the groomers!

ive got a pair of 08 k2 fujatives that are nice and soft and i want soem thing similar!

if you want something that can rip on groomers the alpha 1 would fit the bill... if you want something similar to your fujative/something soft... turn and walk away because the alpha is neither of those.

yeah i dont think i want something quite as soft as the fujis!

but i wanna know, how soft are the tips, for buttering?

If you wait till next year you can get the alpha 2 witch is sposed to be softer from what ive heard

My alphas rip on groomers and due to the shape are really quick edge to edge and ski much shorter than they are, they are not that soft but you will be able to butter them if you put in some effort plus the rocker helps, I love mine and very happy with them!

Next year they are still called the Alpha 1

there is an alpha 1 which is unchanged. and then there is an alpha 2 with the ar1 core and no racing base.

Hmmm... i dont know about these ones

got em instead of my old pipe cleaners whit a more playful and "turny" ski in my mind. but no. the are not very god at rails and 5s on small jumps. but when you are going big they are great. very god stability on big jumps and easy to land on 9s and 10s. and the rocker/elf shoe works great in the pipe you are going to just jump on smal jumps and rails i would not buy these ones. if you are going to hit some big jumps and are going big in the pipe the alpha 1s are a great choice. but i would rather get the pipe cleaners or ar6
