Armada Alpha 1 Size +k

Hey guys, I'm interested in purchasing the Armada Alpha 1, after my AR6's are showing quite a lot of wear and don't to be without a park ski. I'm 5'11'', 180lbs, and I ski on 2010 176cm AR6's. I am 70% jumps and 30% rails, most important skiing is done in colorado. I don't know if I should get 176 or 182's. I've heard they ski short due to the elf shoe, but 182 just seems a little long.

Certainly 182, they ski way shorter than a traditional ski because both the tip and tail are not touching until much closer to the boot.

182 would be fine, not only do they ski shorter but they are very light and have a low swing weight. You will be perfectly content with the 182.

dont mean to thread jack but where are you going to mount those? i my skis centered but i hear with the rocker 2 back is the way to go?

for sure longer. I'm only 110lbs and have been skiing everything from a 167 to 178 cause of all of this rocker business. I've been telling everyone to ski the next ski up from what you normally would.

I'm 6'2" and use the 182 cm Alpha 1s. If there was a size closer to 190 cm I would've gone for those because how short they feel is very noticeable (especially when you first try them out). I'm still happy with the 182s though.
As for the mounting question, I mounted mine at factory recommended -2.5cm. My last pair of skis (regular camber) were center mounted, but the tip rocker is longer than the tail rocker on the Alphas, making the factory recommended setting more centered on the ski's running surface.
