Armada Alpha 1 Mounting

Just purchased a pair of 2011 Alpha 1's and I'm looking for some suggestions on where to mount them. I ski maybe 60-70% park and 30-40% mountain. I know the suggested mount is -2.5, but I'm tempted to mount them at -1.0 or just center. Anyone have any experience with a pair?

I've never ridin this ski, but i centered some 09 Line Blends. And as soon as i did that I had to to work probably %30 percent harder in powder. But it didn't affect any of my other riding, still holds edges and mobbing switch ten times more comfortable. So I would probably go about -1_-1.5, unless you hardly ride powder or the powder at your resort is steep and light. But if you get in heavy flat stuff with centered skis your gonna be hiking. Hope this helped.

some people mount them at recommended for the ski was designed around that mount. the for what you want id say +1

Can someone explain how this would be helpful? is the turning radius forward of true center on the alpha 1?

i use them almost exclusively in the park...

but i mean i have successfully skied them this spring in the inconsistent slushy conditions at the very top of mammoth such as cornice bowl etc.

if you want a more versatile all-mountain park ski from armada i would recommend the ar7 or THALL

wrong, they are park skis. the groomers on the way to the park do not count as "all mountain"
just because you skied them in the trees once and made it to the bottom of the hill does not mean they "rip the all mountain" as you said.

i mounted mine at center, love em in the park and on groomers - not so much the rest of the mountain. not sure if mounting them back would help the all mountain versatility.

When people are saying "rip all mountain" they mean for a park ski(AR7, T-hall, Or Halo) not a ski like the JJ, Obsethed, or 2012. The alpha 1 is actually surprising good at all mountain. they are stiff compared to other park skis, and the rocker and elf shoe makes them much better in tight trees, bumps, and a little bit of pow. Lets not makes them out to be the best all mountain ski but they are the best armada park ski for all mountain. I have mine mounted at true center, and I dont have a problem, but I would suggest -2.5 because they will still be fine for park. You dont need to have your skis mounted true center for you to be able to ski park. The short turning radius is not ideal for all aspects of all mountain, but it helps more than it hurts. If you are having problems with skiing all mountain with Alpha 1's it's not the ski. If you read this thread he is going to be skiing mainly park and he will be more than fine with them for all mountain. I currently have Alpha 1's, and sold my AR6s to get them. I have skied T-halls, Halos(when they were Alpha 2), and they both were to soft for all mountain, the T-halls tips and tails are to soft to hold up when charging. The AR7's are one of the best all mountain/park skis, and would get them again, if the Alpha 1 wasnt being made. Hope you enjoy the Alpha 1's because I know you will

I mounted mine at +1 or recommended and they work great. Center mount is great for mounting switch but since you said you'll be doing a decent amount of all mountain skiing you'll want them back just a tad. I'd put them at +1 or +1.5.

I'm going to buy these skis used off a person on NS. The skis have been mounted twice, one possibly with fks, and the other one with tyrolia peak 12 bindings. I have to remount them though because the tyrolia bindings that are currently on the skis will not fit to my boots. Is it possible to remount these skis 3 times? And if the first mounting was in fact fks holes would it be possible to mount fks bindings on there again? I'll try to post some pictures.
