ARG vs LL2

I was wondering if anyone skied both and could compare them(189 LL2, not 179). For next year I need a jib pow ski and decided that getting a medium flex instead of super soft would be worth it for larger cliffs. Heres what I was guessing each would be better at: Park:LL2s much better(for fun...not goin to be a park ski). Breakable crud:ARGs. Large cliffs ARGs. Weight LL2s(arent they like 9lb a pair?). Cascade wet snow probably ARGs, and groomers(mostly low angle ones)LL2s. Whichever I get will be mounted with jesters(LL2s at here here here, or ARGs about -3 from center)

ARGs are a pow only ski, RR so on anything but deep pow it will not be fun. LL2s will be super fun an lower amounts of snow, but imo they wont be wide enough for deep days. sense you want something stiffer the bents/EPs, i would say moment night trains, or bent chettlers would be great! btw, what mountain will these be skied? stevens/baker/snocompton?

could also compare to chetlers...

also will add: the two I named are a bit of opposites for pow skis. ARGs nearly completely reverse sidecut and(itd be 08s) they only have a small, but long tip rocker and tiny tail rocker. LL2s are regular sidecut w/o even some taper, but have massive tip rocker a almost as large tail rocker.

Ive been told lots that ARGs are great in chop/crud as long as it's not just ice chunks, and are fun even if there is only 4+ inches of fresh over slop(not over ice). I'm not super worried about the float as I skied 68mm skis many times in waist deep pow last year and CAN do it, just not as fun as any 100+ ski. And yes those 3, mostly stevens, some baker, and MABY 1 or two alpy but not much(only if they get a large storm that misses stevens)

have you ridden ARG's before?

LL2's look pretty fun and i deffinatly want to try them but from the looks of it if your looking for a rockered pow ski that charges i'd say get the ARG. i own a pair and im not saying this only because i own them but they absolutely kill it in everything but hard pack. in deep deep snow there unreal(obviously) but seriously i have so much fun on them when theres only a couple inches of snow or less. there so surfy i find that just doing slashes on groomed runs with an inch of snow is way more fun then if i were doing the same on a traditional ski. the slightly stiffer flex limits wheelies unless you want to intentially do them and makes these skis charge through anything. crud and chopped snow is no problem. the only bad times when riding these are on ice for me, like if theres a layer of ice underneath the fresh. even on groomers i dont mind them too much, although they are a little wacky to get used too and require a bit more work. i'd say get them and i doubt you'd be dissapointed.

the main reason I was thinking about LL2s(and chetlers before that) is because I like messing around in park on rockered skis, and cant do that on ARGs. Do you consider ARGs poppy, and also what else can you compare them to that you have skied?

don't eps suck in crud? and what makes bents/eps better in other stuff in your opinion? just trying to compare. wouldnt ARGs also be better at cliffs since those are so soft?

yeah when i got them i thought i wouldnt be able to take them in the park either but to my suprise there actually really fun! i dont know how good of a park skier you are but if your decent i'd say you can have a ton of fun on them. i've hit every rail in big white's park with them and can even do sw-ups and 270's out on them and its not that bad. nose and tail presses are deffinatly the most fun though on long downbars(trying not to claim here just saying whats possible). jumps are a little sketchy on them but still somewhat do able. i've never done more then a 3 on them in the park but im sure some people do. i think there fairly poppy, probly more-so then ep pros and deffinatly more then hellbents due to the stiffer flex. i have no problems popping on them and because of the rocker i find you can load up the tails and just launch on them. in powder they are the poppiest ski i have ever ridden. you can rocket out over anything just by putting a bit of pressure on the tails and pop over anything. i cant really compare it to anything like it because there arent many skis like it but for other powder skis i've tried atomic pimps, atomic thugs, prior doughboys and hellbents.

i did think that rails would be easy on em with a 133 footprint, but larger jumps were my fear since you have such an odd shape. I will see where the demoed LL2s were mounted, and if its behind hereherehere than I will (probably) buy the ARGs. any other rockered skis other than bents youve riddin?

yeah park booters are not that ideal on ARG's. if im hitting hitting actual park jumps i'm using my park skis anyways its just kinda pointless on big jumps. i dunno about all these kids hitting big tables on hellbents but i'd imagine it being a little sketch.

no bents and arg's are the only ones although i have some invaders that are rockered from water getting into the core and abuse but their pretty sketch haha.

ARG's are rediculously fun. seriously they make any amount of fresh snow soooo fun. There is a reason whypeople who own ARG's gush about them when asked.

Dude, the first day out on them ever, it was on 3 1/2" of fresh and i couldn't stop laughing till noon. seriously, people thought i was cracked out. You will not regret it.

though i have caught a few edges when going off jumps, which does suck. But SOOOOO fun

Ive heard that alot, which is why i was hoping for a comparo. I know for sure that LL2s will be much more fun in park, but idk HOW much more fun ARGs will be in pow so its a harder decision. all i know is LL2s are lighter, even though ARGs are fairly light for a ski that big

even though that question was not directed at me...i have yet to find anything negative about the LL2's in powder.
