Hell, we got up to 8' last week around DC. If it snows that much here (considering it generally doesn't snow at all), I know that New England is getting hammered. Especially with the storm that is going through today and the one that is supposed to go through over the weekend!

k2: I live by DC - we don't get snow here, so 8' is a lot for me. However, when DC gets 8' I know the NE is going to get hammered. Sure, there's a lot more snow in the Rockies and west of there, but we love our east coast.

i live in NC, any snow at all is impressive. we got 2 inches here, and schools were shut down for 5 days. it's actually kind of sad if you think about it

well it's gonna be all better by tomorrow. since we had all kinds of packed powder underneath the ice, when they groomed last night it turned into frozen granular. now tonight they're gonna blow snow over top of the granular, groom it again, and it will be some nice, fast hardpack
