Are there any Americans out there who shred without health insurance? knowing that if you break an arm or bust a knee it can potentially cost thousands of dollars
 
The BC health protection plan. It covers all injuries related to extreme sports. The problem is making money after the injury.
 
I think I got that free original Obama care shit Romney hooked up as governor of Massachusetts.

Definitely NOT trying to pay for some (SHITTY) private healthcare myself being self (or technically un) employed.

Nor am I trying to find out how good it is out of state since I only spend a few months a year in Massachusetts.

I am not left wing or anything but being European and a British citizen as well I will gladly spit on any stupid backwards American who is anti- universal healthcare. Scum. Nothing more pathetic than some idiot who thinks he's got great healthcare through his job when really his deducatables and copays are huge and his stupid fucking ass could be laid off anytime and lose said insurance, especially if something happens so he really needs it.

 
I get it through work. But back in my early 20sor when i was laid off id get a catastrophic policy for very cheap just in case i woke up on an emergency room one day with a hundred gees in a bills. Would recommend.
 
Those of you that are between jobs, stuck in internships, etc, check out ehealthinsurance.com it's like expedia for insurance plans. Offers all sorts of plans in all sorts of price ranges. You put in what you're looking for and it gives you options and sends the forms in to the insurance companies for you. I used it to buy a plan when I was between jobs and before I started grad school. WAY cheaper than COBRA.

Whoever mentioned catastrophic, it's always good to have some sort of coverage but be careful because many of those plans specifically list skiing injuries as non-covered.
 
when they say you can be on your parents until 26, does that mean until I'm 25 and 365 days old (26)? or does that mean 26 and 364 days?
