Are tramps similar to snow?

Don't hate but I yet to land my first rodeo 5 on snow. I can do them very consistently but not to sure if it's the same if I huck it off a jump? Any tips?

Not at all.. but they sure help! Boots with skis are very different than bare feet. On snow, I always huck 25% harder than on the tramp but even by hucking harder, there is a big difference.

practice makes perfect and if u do it a lot of times on snow. youll be stomping them consistently and it will be just as easy as a trampoline

not really , the way I set rodeos on tramp is diferent than the way I set it on a jump because when you get to the lip of the jump you're placed diferently than completely vertical like one the tramp. if that makes sense ?

so on snow you'd set by swinging your hips in the jump and dropping your shoulder in your spin.

I dont know if you understand what I mean but thats how I do them

yea if you make sure to get a good set off the lip you can spot your landing and adjust as necessary. It's not much harder than tramp it's just different.

I think technically the material on tramps differs slightly from that of snow, but they are close.

Seriously though, I use to do rodeos on tramps all the time, but I suck ass at doing them on snow. I personally think the best way to learn mellow flip tricks like that is to do them off of wind lips into soft snow. Also, practice your set before you drop in!

good question. i have often wondered this as well. does anyone know about under flips as well? i an do them on the tramp but are they just as easy and the same on snow? probably not huh...

yes confidence is everything especially on like a frontflip or backflip, especially if you have the motion down. Do it into pow or an airbag or something soft first then maybe a slushy day go huck it. It feels different and goes a lot faster and is scarier than on trampoline but trampolines help certainly to build confidence and muscle memory of how to set.

Good luck! Go out and do it, and don't overthink it, you will lose confidence.

Since you have the rotation down, the only hard part will be getting used to doing it off a kicker. Go for it buddy!

a trampoline defiantly help you figure things out but its way different on snow. the weight of your skis and boots can throw you off a little bit
