Are the "ghost pages" ever going to get fixed for threads?

yknow how almost every time you click on a multi-page thread there's nothing except the OP and you have to click on the previous page to see anything? are we ever gonna change that or is it just gonna be something we are constantly annoyed about for the rest of newschoolers history? cause it's dumb and annoying, maybe it's the hardest thing to fix in the world, i dunno, but i know that it never used to happen and it's only been around for the last couple years sooo...
 
I think it's only been around in the last couple of years because a lot more stuff is deleted from threads now compared to a few years ago. Meaning you are just noticing it more now. Could be wrong though.
 
real solution: kill the ultra threads.

100+ page threads should be locked, deleted, or whatever. They continue to exist just because they're extremely vague, and have been around too long.

Half of nsg is now the post your latest purchase thread, the drunk thread, post your whip, mind=blown, and shit like that.

Just kill them.

Then someone else can restart them.
 
They are being fixed going forward, but there is no way to go back and remove them where they already exist unfortunately
 
Sorry, I can actually fix this. I think the problem was mostly older threads that got wrong Reply counts due to some bugs in the past, and the counts just stayed wrong.

I'll see if I can whip up a script to reset all the reply counts.
 
They should be fixed now. It could take a few hours for every cache to cycle to show the correct count, but they should all be good by this afternoon.
 
is it just me or is there another problem? whenever a page fills up it doesn't show any of the original posts and just shows the new ones.
