Are suspects really that bad?

i search barred and everything i've seen is about how the topsheet chips, edges come out etc...personal experiences with the suspects? im looking for a new ski for next season, i ride mostly park but also enjoy goin out of the park to hit cat tracks or groomers if there's fresh snow. i thought the suspects were a good ski but now i'm not so sure...also considering the AR7s. any help would be much appreciated.

Well mine are in rough shape after a season and a half of riding, very stiff ski, i do not like them.I would buy the AR7's in a heart beat if I were you, but thats just my opinion

No. I won't say they are as bad as people might say.

I skied mine for 40-50 days and they held up fine. A few edge cracks underfoot, which are starting to pull out now.

I recently bought AR7s because they were 50% off. I though the time was right, because my Suspects were starting to fall apart.

I am gonna use the Suspects for two weeks this summer, and hopefully they hold up. If they do not hold up, I still have my new AR7s.

I don't think the Suspect is one of the most durable skis out there, but for me - it held up fine.

I would still consider the AR7s for you, just because of what I have heard about the durability of Armada skis in general.

i really enjoyed my suspects. i never really had any problems with then. a few edge cracks but thats pretty normal. i would buy them again

Hey if you dont mind could you tell me if theres an online store where i can get ar7's that cheap. Im going to buy a pair really soon.

I don't know any, sorry. I live in Denmark and a shop here had them 50% off with STH14s because they were closing.

The suspects are a good ski. Any park ski will fall apart eventually. There was one year where they were terrible (2011). But they have corrected most of the problems. As for the topsheet chipping, any full sidewall ski is gonna chip on the topsheet. People love to hate the suspects, but most of them have never actually ridden them. The ar7 is also a great ski. Go for either one.

Yes, in a lot of cases they are really that bad. The durability of the skis defiantly stands out as a negative siding factor, more then how they are a fun ski to ride on as a positive siding factor. I would put the Suspects out of the equation.

my buddy has the 2011 suspect and after hitting a few kinked rails for a couple days, he has 6 or 7 edge cracks along with one edge buldging about a cm out of the ski.. His top sheet is destryed but that happens with most park skis. Take the AR7's for sure!

ive just skied 100+ days on my suspects and the top layer has got some chips... however, not that bad!!! the suspects are not that stiff like everyone is saying! im 16 yo and i only weigh about 60 kg (light for my age) and i can easily role up onto my tips without trying. they are a playful ski and i would highly recomend them!!! i think they are a top ski and can slay the shit out of any feature in any park!

yeah like you said the topsheet ripps off really easy you should see mine haha we can see a loooot of wood, like i love thoses skis but what i hate about them is that the topsheet ripps off..

Still skiing the 08/09s and I quite like them. The topsheet is pretty damn beat up, but that really doesn't matter when you think about it. Just sticker those bitches up! In conclusion, I've had a good experience with them , if that's what you are asking.
