Are summer camps worth the money?

Hey guys,

A few of my friends and I have recently decided to take a skiing trip this spring or summer. We are still unsure of where exactly to go, and the question of a summer camp has come up. Being that we are all paying for this trip out of our own wallets, we are of course wondering if spending over 1,000 dollars is worth the price of admisson. To those of you that have been to a summer camp... is it worth it? In terms of overall fun, how much you learn, skiing terrain and conditions, etc??? (If it matters, we have only pretty basic park skills, such as some easier rails, 360's w/ grabs, maybe some 5's, etc.) Any feedback would be excellent.

Thanks guys!

Dude honestly, I would just spend the money to ski and not go to a camp. Then you develope your own way and create your own style and yeah if you have good peeps to ski with you progress fast anyway

i learned more in a week of camp of champions and gained more confidence then i do in a year of skiing. its great. go summer camp, if you can afford it, if you cant just poach COC... its really hard for them to even notice

it really is a whole lot of fun, but i think that it's more worth it if you go as an "adult" ie. read age 19 + (in whistler at least) I speak from 2 years at High North, you'll have a lot of fun if you're under age for sure, i did but i think that waiting for the adult session is key.

my dad said i could go and my grandparents will pay if i got good grades, but i got and f in one class, lets now i have to do a huggge asignment in the one day bummmmmer
