Are skiers rollerbladers

I don't think because we sell skis and skates that it automaticaly means skiers are rollerbladers, or vice versa.

We sell in-line skates and skis because that's what the owners and staff practice.

Besides you can't have a year round business only one seasonal sport. Not to mention everyone is already selling skateboards and snowboards. We just focus on what we know...

i know alot more skiers that skateboard than rollerblad and theres probably more pros that skate too. and if skiers were rollerbladers then skiers would be gay.

But Dave Crichton also in-line skates. Have you read his interview in one this past season's magazines? (Either Freeskier or FREEZE.) Have you seen the video Guinea Pigs? The facts is that skiing, skateboarding and in-line skating are all sick sports, but yet individual and unique on their own. They each deserve respect.

People who bash in-line as being "fruitbooting" or "gay" clearly have homophobic or insecurity issues. But then I guess there will always be ignorant people.

skateing is alot more scary, and i dont see how people can make fun of it.

SKATEING AND SKIING ARE BASICLY THE SAME. Dont let anyone tell you other wise. The grinds are allmost all the same, the names are allmost all the same. The air tricks are also allmost the same, japan, saftey, mute, misty, bio, corked, rodeo, flatspin ect.... It was all from skateing guys, and if you cant make the connection you must be stupid.

 
yes skiing is lame compared to skating... i will huck a 30 foot cliff like its nothing compared to how fast i will jump a 10 ft roof onto concrete. The same goes for rails, try 360ing onto a rail completely blind to it and then landing on the rail and sliding 35 stairs... ive grinded the same rail on skis and skates(35 stairs) and i did it liek it wa snothing on skis before i could grind it on skates. i mean like ridiculously huge cliffs and stuff seth does comes close to the ball levels of some of disaster rail tricks ive seen lately (brian aragon disaster bs savannah in ego) but in general rollerblading requires more nuts end of story...

i love them both to death tho

 
fuck that i think rollerblading is pussy compared to skiing, i use to rollerblade for 4 years before i got into skiing and i was like what the hell! i like rollerblading i just dont like the whole look/scene of rollerblading

 
i think all boarders have some complex about other sports. everyone knows how snowboarders were bashing skiers everywhere saying it's gay. same with skateboarders now. almost all of em say that inline is gay and call us fruitbooters. u guys should shut up and give respect to other sports.

theres probably more skiers that skateboard than skiers that rollerblade. at my school probably 30 people ski and i know that about 20 of them skateboard and like 4 rollerblade. and if rollerblading and skiing were considered the same thing i wouldnt be skiing because rollerblading is about the gayest thing there is and if you rollerblade your a fucking faggot.

I'm not dissing on rollerbladers here but when you do a switch 270 on with rollerblades you can just come up nice and slow and jump off one foot and step on to the rail. It's just not very impressive to me.

 
that's the weird thing that lots of skateboarders don't give respect to bladers at all, when most of rollerbladers know and admit that skateboarding is cool too. as skiing, snowboarding, bmx, etc.

Nothing weird about it. Skateboarders needed someone to hold down in order to boost themselves up. They defined rollerbladers as the opposite of everything they wanted to be, in order to support the skateboarder image. Snowboarders tried to do the same thing to skiers. They tried to make skiing the sport of old, white rich people. That way they could adopt the anti-establishment image of skateboarders and appear legitimate. That also hid the fact that snowboarding is a sport for the privileged as well, something that pissed of skateboarders.

and btw. my friend was rollerblading for 6 years and could spin up to 900 in the park, so when he started skiing after a week he did switch 540 with no problem...
