Thats the thing about the Democratic party. They put on a big front like they give a shit about you but in reality they create messes that make people desperate then swoop in and act like they are going to save the day using your own tax dollars then push their own agenda. Here is a good example, we locked people down so they cant pay their bills. So then we come up with a stimulus check so people dont rob liquor stores. Then Nancy Peloci comes waltzing in trying to shove her Woke as Fuck bullshit agenda down everyone's throats.
Here is another one. We come up with a nonsense program that "Everyone deserves a University education!". Which sounds good until we find out its all based on government back loans which screwed up the market price for higher education and drowned a whole generation in debt. So who comes around then and says, 'Hey, vote for me Ill magic wand your debt away!"
The Democrats thrive on this. They probably love the fact that small businesses are getting shut down for good. Why? Because then the only jobs are crappy minimum wage cashier jobs at Walmart. Then the Democrats can say,"Hey, now that you are desperate and we ruined the true market price for labor... vote for me and I will increase min wage marginally so your life will suck slightly less!"
The virus is here, its a new shitty reality that we cant escape. If we lock people down for a week longer or 5 months longer its still going to resurface as soon as we do. The problem is if we wait 5 months we are going to see a huge increase in robbing, looting, home invasions etc when people get desperate. That or we print 10 Trillion more dollars then screw over the next generation when the USA suddenly loses its AAA credit rating.
The grocery stores and Lowes are packed right now anyway so its not like people are not interacting while it is anyway. Keep up social distancing, limit how many people are in stores and keep masks on and sanitize everything but open up small business so the whole community is not funneled into Lowes and Alberstons every Saturday.

Look at the cost of college before and after the student loan program was put in place. It skyrockets. Also the whole argument for re-opening is about allowing people to go an earn their own living instead of waiting on another government bailout. If this not caring about these people then I don't know what is. But I think we all know that no minds on this forum are changing on that topic.

Yeah, 3 million people are not going to suddenly die if we get people back to work. We still need to implement social distancing and precautions. You know, the same one that hardware and grocery stores are already using. We did the quarantine so we could let the hospitals resupply and get their facilities set up. Its not a 6 month long suspended animation for the US. There are thousands of people right now that literally are facing being homeless. Sure your bank or landlord might let you float a month but the reality is these families can foreclose if we keep people from working. Not to mention all the small businesses and restaurants that may never open again. This isnt about some kind of "Fuck the government and their rules", its more "Im going to have to tell my kids we are losing the house and end up in a shitty motel or on the streets if I cant work in the next month."
