Are professors allowed to lower test scores??

I'm in summer school at Colorado State U and went to my professor about the first test because I thought a couple of my answers marked wrong were actually right. Turns out they are not and he finds one he accidentally marked right that was wrong so he marks me off for it. I've never heard of a teacher marking down on a test after the fact for their own mistake. I've only experienced where talking to your teacher about a test increases your score. Is this academically ok?

well, if the grade wasnt set in stone and he found one that was actually wrong, i dont see why he couldnt count it against you

yes because technically you got it wrong. I've learned that professors can pretty much do whatever they want--because fighting a battle against a professor is exhausting. Choose your battles-- does this single mark down affect your overall grade that much?

If the scores arent put into the grade book officially I believe he can do that, but if he didnt put it in, i dont think they can do that,
