So I wanted to get a pair of ON3P Mangos, but a few ppl have told me to go custom. When I look through the custom there is also a $50 for softer skis, anyone have experience with that? does it really matter? lmk.
Bought a set of custom Jeff’s and softened them up and love it. The mango is pretty soft and if you are between sizes size up and soften it or size down and stay stock. Another difference is the top sheet some care about that and the edges. On a stock it will come detuned edge custom will have the option to detune. I softened my Jeff’s because I was between sizes and went up and softened it worked for me
I’m 181.5cm and im getting the 181cm ski, do u think i should soften or ill be fine. I ride K2 Poachers right now which are very stiff and can still butter fine with them.
If you a buttering poachers easily stay stock lay up

With the spring sale right now, it seems like a bad time to order customs. You're going to be paying 50% more for a different topsheet and a slightly softer flex
its weight vs ski length vs skier ability vs location. If you hit up their customer service, they will ask you these questions and then probably tell you to go stock layup. You should hit them up, and if they tell you to go softer than sure, buy customs.
I got custom Jeff 100s with the softer flex just cause I’m pretty small, and I wanted to have more control of the ski. I think they’re perfect for me, still feel sturdy, but I’ve never skiied them with the stock flex. They just put like 30 pairs on their factory finds - u should take a look there any see if there are any u like
