Are my skis too small?

Im 6 foot 2 (maybe taller) and i weigh about 210. I have k2 extremes that are 169cm and are mounted center. Since i joined ns i noticed peoples skis are a lot longer than mine and some people are pretty short. Just wondering what you guys think about the size i should have or if 169 is just fine.

I don't think they are overly small, but you can definitely go bigger. You're pretty tall, so if I were you, I would ride in the 175-186 range.

Yes, especially center mount. It's personal preference though, I won't tell you how to run your life, but bigger skis will change the way you ski. Look into something that's 180+. Considering the size of your body, those 169s must feel like noodles. I trust you wont have any problems with a 180+

In my opinion I would say too small! To put it into consideration for you I am 5' 8" ish 145 and I ride 173's center mounted and I would not be afraid to go slightly longer. If its time to replace your skis then I would definitly go over 180

Honestly, yeah they're pretty small for you. I'm 6'2 180ish and originally started on a pair of 171 Armada AR6s that I skied for years. Then moved up to a 178 ARV, and now I'm on 183 TSTs. I LOVED my AR6s, but after skiing longer skis I just can't get back on 171s, they just feel sketchy/unstable. You should be on something 180ish, esp if you're center mounting.

Yeah i was thinking the same thing and also just a random qluestion if im doing rails boxes etc. Then do i need to dull my edges?

Go in to a shop and tell them you want a park detune. And on the note of the size of ski, you have to consider your weight too, since you're 210, something under 180 could feel like a noodle to you.

Im 6 foot and i ride 181 center mounted in the park and pipe, if i were you i would definitely get bigger skis

na volkls skis measure super small for some reason. The 185 wall is about the same size as the 179 k2 skis.

I think you have that backwards cause K2 runs long, volkl may still run a little short but a 179 K2 is actually like 183-184

yeah good durability. it only goes up to 179 i think and its symmetrical so it has to be center mounted. but yeah from what ive heard its good. also its got no camber and has rocker. more of a jib specific ski, then say the recoil, but it will still work real good on jumps and stuff.

I might just end up getting that in the 179. Also, im pretty unfamiliar with doing rails etc. but should i have them detuned or not. Im really uncertain about that

You can't find a longer ski? I have Line Anthems for a beater ski. 179, and center mounted, I'm lighter than you, but same height and I find them too small at times. They're good for now since I can't afford a new park ski, but I just wish I could go taller. 179s center mounted could feel too small for tou

Like everyone else has said, yes. My friend is 6'2" but only 150 and rides a 181 msp, they fit him really well.

I ride a 171 rossi s5 center mount and they feel fine. ive actually progressed alot this year already. Im 5'5" 140lbs

As pretty much everyone else has said they're probably too small. I'm a couple inches taller than you and I really only ride skis bigger than 185.
