im only like 5'7" and im riding 171 Line Anthems, so like everyone else said, u can go up probably another 10 cm ...but i also have a pair of 161's that i putz around soo...
ok first up.. don't really listen to anyone that says they are too small or too big.. within reason there is no such thing as 'too small' or 'too big'.. its a personal preference.. in fact from the range of responses you see to this thread you can tell that.. if you are going huge on jumps then maybe you would benefit from a longer ski.. i'm 5'8 135-140 and i ride 169 volkl walls.. a little on the small side maybe but they are fun and i really like them.. the real question is do your skis feel good to you? do you have fun riding them.. if your skis were 'too small' then you would know it.. if you feel like they are too small then by all means go longer.. but if you are having fun on them and your riding is improving etc then don't run out and buy new skis on the advice of NS..
I'm 5'8, i mainly ride 177 Chronics, but have 182 Troublemakers too. I guess they're kinda long. But the only person you need to ask is yourself. If you feel good riding them, then they're the right size.
couldn't have said it better.....also if you feel like they are too short for you i would suggest demoing a range of lengths before you just go out and buy another pair of skis thats longer. It also depends on what you want to do with your riding and how aggressive you are. if you are interested in getting a longer pair i would go to your local shop and explain your riding to them and they should help hook you up with the right length
i'm 5'10" and i just picked up a pair of 181s and my friend is like 5'7" and he was riding on 151's last year. i would say that is short but urs are not bad
