Are my boots compatible with my bindings?

So I just received my new bindings (tyrolia attacks 13) and have just learned that they are obly compatible with grip wal and another type of sole. I’m planning on getting new boots during winter (full tilt dropkick) but won’t have them at the start of the season. Am I fucked?

It's likely your new boots will come with Grip Walk soles. The majority of non-touring & non-race boots are all being designed to have Grip Walk soles.

Even if they aren't grip walk, the other kind of sole that the Attack will accept is the normal alpine sole (ISO 5355) which the rest of the non-touring boots have.

TL:DR you’re good

The drop kicks are the classic shell so they won’t have the option of GripWalk because they have a not removable toe lug. But either way OP you are good to go.

This is right; I forgot FT make some non-race/touring boots without replaceable toes; they're a bit of an outlier compared to the other boot manufacturers in this regard, mainly because of the Raichle Flexon race heritage of the classic shell.

Given Grip Walk, other boot norms and what bindings can accept what can be confusing to a lot of people, I tried to keep the answer generalised and still apply to others and if OP doesn't get dropkicks in the end.
