Are boxes considered lame ?

Does doing tricks or getting clips on boxes considered less SWAG or, CASHMONEY rather than doing them on rails or tubes?

yo wyatt, i think boxes can look sick with the right trick, but rails are more swag

PC has these skinny boxes I always called a "ledge" box and those are so fun. Otherwise I find sliding a rail more enjoyable, boxes are great for learning tricks but if you're creative, you can do cool tricks on anything.

Nah they aren’t lame, boxes are a good learning tool and some boxes are large enough to be a respectable feature for tricks. It is lame to only land 270s onto a flat box and claim you can 270 onto rails however if you know what I’m sayin.

Yeah, it's to wise hard to swap unless it's continuing

I think swaps are easier on tubes but other than that everything else is easier on boxes. That being said neither is cooler or lamer, it’s all about trick selection and creativity

Rails are certainly harder but I love a nice long flat box. Hitting transition on the end of them feels so fucking good too

Honestly the only trick that is easier to do on a box rather than a tube or sumn is a 50-50. Prolly a flip on too but never done those.

yeah boxes are super lame, I dislike edits the second I see a box because literally anyone can do box tricks. my 6 year old newborn nephew can kfed boxes.

hitting a tube is harder than a box or else we wouldnt be starting out on boxes

In a park with limited number of features I hate boxes. After you learn to slide stuff sideways it becomes way easier to learn tricks on tubes. Comboing boxes with things can be fun, but not a fan of the typical 1 footish wide box.

That being said, if your park has plenty of room for variety they are cool.

As long as you're not like snowboarders who 50-50 a ride on box that's wider than their board and call it a trick.

Yeah a 50-50 on a box is easier but I work as a ski coach and the kids usually learn hitting tubes sideways before hitting boxes sideways.

No I wouldn’t agree I think a box can be swagger but you have to put the right salt and pepper on it maybe add some cumin for spice I would say a nose butter 360 on the skinny box hasn’t even been done so that’s what I would focus on if I were you and you could do it switch for the extra barbecue sauce and if you want to make it real trickster like do a classic Will Wesson Andy milanokis pole flipper and we could call that a buffalo sauce with the flavor

Yes but I also feel like once you reach a certain level of proficiency tubes become easier than boxes in a way. there are all sorts of tricks that I can't do on boxes that I can on tubes. I suck at pretzeling boxes

a good majority of my local park is boxes so I have a burning hatred for them, they can be cool if they are not all that is set up imo.
