Are 2011 Salomon Suspects good?

Please leave a review if youve skiied the new suspects cause i have heard the edges blow out really quick, so tell me if they are good skis or not and will they last me a whole year?

I skiied all last season on the previous model, I don't believe there were any changes except for a graphic update. The skis definitely do NOT suck. In terms of ski performance and enjoyment they are great, everything from carving to jumps. I don't think I've ever been on a better pair of park skis. However, the rumors and constant trolling about edge issues seem to be somewhat valid. After about 3-4 weeks of riding I started to notice the edge crack in about 3 places. This didn't effect the performance of the ski, but it was certainly a concerning development. I'm not sure if these came from rocks or rails though. At the end of the season I had about 4 cracks, on about 30 days of skiing. I did not detune my skis ever.

TLDR: Great skis for riding, but beware of the edge durability! Detuning edges is a must!
