Are 171cm skis to small for me?

170 will be pretty short. I'm 5'11" 150lb. and ride 180's for park. It really comes down to personal preference but I think a 178ish would suit you better

They're on the small side for your height, but you are pretty light for your height. I wouldn't go any smaller though.

bigger = more stable at speed, faster, and harder to wash out on jumpssmaller = lighter, faster spinning (for those future spins) and easier to butter or wash out.

that being said, i am 5'7'' and 150 lbs and i ride 172s

i like the stability on landings, and even on handrails. also if it starts to snow, and you left your pow skis at home, its nice to at least be able to still shred fresh snow. skis too short can be frustrating in even 2" of new.

I'm 5'11, 145lbs and I'm on 180s they are the perfect size so your range would be probably 176-182. honestly the longer the skis the more stable obviously but if you're into rails more stick with short

I used to ride 171's and I'm pretty much the same body type. I'm much happier on 178s and if I was riding a more centered stance, or out west I'd want something in the 181-184 range.
