so folks,

i am not studying architecture, but my bro does, and he sucks at the interwebz.

before hitting beforementioned interwebz, browsing around for 2 hours to find that shit, i thought "fuck it, NSG will certainly help me out"

so, i need DETAILED (i know, wikipedia, yeah, maybe not enough....) INFO about

-- k.f. schinkel

-- friedrich gilly

-- john soane

-- francesco borromini

and DETAILED shit about certain buildings of them. like plans/plots/views, analyzes from an architectural standpoint, etc

and at the very least i expect this thread to be fucking hilarious, so dont dissappoint, i dont even care if this is a repost, inb4 your mom and.... hey jamie, hows it going?

Sorry bud, I've got a master's in Architecture and I don't know half the architects you mentioned. Your brother better learn to wikipedia.

^Really? I only spent a year and a half in architecture and I've studied all of them. I guess different schools cover different architects, but those are pretty well-known ones.

Ah, it's because they're neoclassical except for Borromini. We didn't go near those guys. Borromini's pretty cool though.

im a second year, my roommate is a third year, and neither of us have heard of these architects.

best place to start is google.. type in the name, read some info on each one, find out some of the buildings they designed, and then look up each of the buildings and maybe similar buildings.

architecture is going to be pretty hard without knowing how to use the internet for research. books at the library can only do so much.
