For a while now I've been suffering from these sharp tearing pains under the soles of my feet it often happen when i go on to my tip toes/ balls of my feet like the picture provided it usually occurs after Ive been skiing.

why is this? and what can i do to stop the pain?

Go to a podiatrist and make sure you haven't actually torn anything.

Then go to a boot fitter and get some custom inserts that have proper arch support. That should fix the problem.

Use the google to look up Plantar fasciitis. It's super common and it sounds just like what you are describing. Proper fitting boots/shoes are essential. Ice and rest are a good bet for short term relief and stretch for prevention.

^when I did PT the therapist had me really focus on my hamstrings and calf muscles. She explained that the bottoms of the feet are basically a part of a connected system that includes everything on the back of legs. My therapist had me focus on the posterior thigh muscles(hamstrings) and calf muscles because they are the strongest muscles in this system.

I recromend a dale boot Custom liner. Also you might want to keep your toe straps 1 notch lower

Op it sounds as though you may be developing postmans heel or plantar fasciitis. ir can be pretty common for active people who are possibly not wearin adequate surrport to prevent for the arches collapsing.

To really help prevent I getting worse and allowing the physio to be effective to need to get some boot work done. For your condition I would only recomend looking at sidas custom footbeds. Super feet and sure foot only airport the rear foot but allow the mid and front foot to proNate which may make your issues worse. The sidas airport te entire foot an if correctly stabilized beneath they can really help the muscles in the feet repair.

From there you need the shells assessing to see if you are getting any movement in the boot which may be causing excessive flexin I the foot. The boots could b possible refit or if they are too big it's probably best starting again as there is very little you can do for big boots.

Let ne know of you have any questions guys.

ah poped in to the local store and showed em my insole and they said my insole where deformed and not providing me with support and that my arch was dropping so i got hooked up with a pair of sidas insoles and used em that night and came back with no pain

^awsome glad they worked out for you. Hopefully this will show others here that footbeds really are not somthing you can do without.

Get custom foot beds. A lot of bootfitters do them. Surefoot here in Killington will do a pressure profile and custom fit your boot.

As I said above for the op sure foot would not be a grey choice. The footbeds try make are very lacking I medial arch Support. I can honeatky say I replace more sure foot footbeds then any other brand each year. For footbeds look at sidas and boot dr. Avoid sure foot and superfeet.

Dude that list is out of date stop posting it. I have already suggested we start a new one hear.

Then stop complaining and start a new one yourself. Even if a few of the people are no longer bootfitters or no longer at those locations, an outdated list is better than no list. People will (and do) continue to reference it until and unless you make a better list.
