AR6 or Afterbangs

New season and new skis. I ski 100% park. I'm planning on railing a lot and hitting jumps up to 50-60 feet.

I have a pair of j.o pros and they feel too stiff. I have planned to buy the afterbangs or the AR6 as they should be good and quite soft park skis. Which of the skis would be better?

Afterbangs will really soften up on those big jumps and might end up being a problem for you, I'd go with the AR6, still pretty soft, but that stiffer tail profile will help on the landings of the bigger jumps.

ar6 is a higher quality ski. the afterbangs replaced the line invaders this year. it is more of a price point ski. and the ar6's are a super awesome ski.

The afterbangs would probably be too soft for jumps as big as 60 ft and since you want a softer ski the ar6 would probably be too stiff for your liking so I think you should go will the T-Halls. They will be stiff enough for big jumps but they will still be soft to butter.

well yes and no, they do have an overall softer flex patteren, but the nose of the AR6 is softer than the nose of the THall, while the tails are the opposite, the THall has the softer tail.
And, true, we don't have a lot of info on the skier, but from what he gave us AR6 is the better ski of the two.

notice how everyone saying "Afterbangs" gives no reason why. I know it's the popular thing to say and the most popular ski to get right now, but it's not good on big jumps, it's an awesome jib ski, but not right for everything. While everyone saying AR6s tells you why. If you're going to respond to a gear talk thread - tell the person WHY they should spend their money on it.

AR6s are a much stiffer ski and afterbangs are in their first year of sale so they are def gonna have problems.
im gonna say go with the one thats tried and true
