Apple Cider on laptop

Last night i was cruzin NS and my cat Knocks over a glass of cold apple Cider(if it makes a difference) on the key board of the laptop. I stood there for a moment in complete shock, the screen was still there, but i turned it off and quickly cleaned the desk and laptop and then took the battery out.

I put the lap top with the keyboard and screen down on paper towels. How long should i wait to turn it on? Will it be fine? Should i sit it in rice to pull the moisture out?

HELP ME NS!
 
give it a few days, go get some rice and put the laptop open in the bag of rice. and prepare to have sticky keys, macbook keys are a bitch to take off and put back on
 
this happened to me in august, and i did what you did and it worked again the next day.

however i did this again in november because i'm really careful and neat and the keys stopped working. i took it to the apple store (was not under warranty mind you) and the guy said the only thing that we could do was replace the keyboard. i think that costs around $350 and i wasnt too stoked on that.

but i got lucky and he noticed that there was a small chip in my keyboard so he replaced it for free.

 
i spilt snapple on mine, cleaned it up and turned it right back on with no problems. I just suffer from sticky keys every once in a while. but anyone know if i could clean the keys myself/ go to the mac store (i have no warranty, i bought it off of gainsaver)
 
spilled a glass o water on my macbook a wile back. put that bitch in rice for like a week. do NOT turn on untill you are 100 per cent sure it is dry. it worked for me, im typing on the compy i spilled on.
 
try using a mr. clean magic eraser thing. I use one to clean my white macbook when it gets dirty and it works very well. Im sure it would get the stickyness off of the keys aswell
 
my roommates had an incident earlier this year where one spilled his ramen water on the others laptop. did basically the same thing and went to the gym to waste some time. he came back after a couple hours and was able to turn it on with no problems.
 
he made the funny of how you spilt apple juice/cider on the laptop and you gots an apple computer now. not sure if i detected sarcasm in your post though so you might of already knew that.
 
hahhaha, i realized that when i looked at that the second time, I was high and it was so confusing!

I decided i am going to turn it back on when my hat from EC headwear comes. I ordered it last nigh

but, I was fucking around in school and spit out a shit ton of water er'ywhere on my mac book. I just turned it off let it dry and I'm typing on it right now.
 
i got it working, the keyboard is destroyed so i bought a cheap usb keyboard. It works fine though, the computer is just a little slow when i start it up
 
I spilled a glass of milk on my macbook, turned it off, took out the battery and wiped it down, dried it with a hair drier and turned it back on. The only problems are my apple key and arrow keys don't work and the comp can't fall asleep, but other than thats its fine
