Apology to kid at Sugarloaf

I was in the park and my friend landed a new trick, I was stoked and went down to congratulate him off to the side of the knuckle of the next jump. Being the gaper that I am, I went to traverse the knuckle underneath the jump to the side my friend was on. Obviously this is not ok, I wasn't thinking at all. When I checked uphill I couldn't see a kid who was on the backside of the jump and I went ahead and skied across the knuckle. The kid cleared my head by a good inch.

Anyway, I am sincerely sorry. I know I made a mistake.

aaah I felt so bad. Do you know the kid? I feel like he overreacted. He called me a fucking retard which I probably deserved, but after I apologized he just kept saying fuck you and flipping me off.

He overreacted? You could have taken an edge to the neck. Both of you could have been seriously hurt all because youre a dumbass. Youre lucky he didnt kick your stupid ass.

If youre that much of a retard you shouldnt go back in the park for a while

I tried to convey in the original post that I know I was being stupid as fuck. Something that could have been terrible was narrowly avoided and I learned my lesson. It doesn't matter, the point of this thread is to apologize again to this kid

People need to chill out about this stuff, just because and accident ALMOST happened doesn't give you the right to lose all decency and just freak out on the person at wrong. Just explain to them how that's not a good thing to be doing.

It sounds like the OP was very apologetic and realized he was in the wrong, so whats the big deal?

Probably someone from CVA. They have a tendency to still hit jumps with obstacles for the purpose of blowing up at them

also disappointed in the number of you at loaf that don't call NSers out. I had ski_alot say hi today and it was rad! So many of you guys apparently are around though.

All orange with a black helmet and on3ps.

definitely. most legit skiers will kindly explain why not to do certain things, and then forget it. there have been times where ive spaced out and done something stupid in the park (and hell, im the best park skier on this site) and it was nothing a "sorry bro my b" couldnt fix

the people who get carried away throwing a tantrum over most of these incidents are just kids who are trying too hard to be the super serious park whiz bitching out gapers

Haha, I asked a kid wearing the NS/Sessions jacket at Hunter a couple weeks ago where Chad's Gap was and he asked me what the fuck that was.

about a month ago I saw you, I was getting off of the superquad. I had on3p jmos on and we just looked at eachother's skis and went our separate ways.

dude I think I remember this. I was wondering who you were and knew you had to be an NSer but I think we were an awkward distance away to call you out.

I was at a hockey game at an away rink and I bought some pizza from the concession stand, and the guy that sold it to me had a purple/gold NS snapback. I gave the shoutout, he was had a negative response and I just asked if he was on here. He said he's never been to the site. Slightly irrelevant but I was very disappointed.

Ahahaha, I rode up the lift with you and my boarder friend on a morning back in like February, I should've done the call out. I actually had a feeling it was you based off some pic you posted a while back.

I did not realize this many NSers ski The Loaf.

Saw you today, didn't think I say hey haha. I was wearing black saga jacket, forgot mine at my house and borrowed my friends. With grey pants with black I/o's

I was working at Loveland and on a pair of Opus and two kids asked me if I knew how to get to Chad's form the bottom of Alta. We high-fived it out.

Its pretty awful. I called a few people out this year with the chads gap thing, at aspen and loon. Of the 4? people I tried, one knew the response. Got very strange looks from the rest.

OP knew he fucked up, apologized, and won't do it again. What else do you want? People do dumb things without thinking sometimes. There was absolutely no need for that kid to call him a fucking retard repeatedly and tell him to stay out of the park. Clearly OP already feels bad about it, the kid could've just been like "Dude, that was really dangerous, you've gotta be more careful. I don't want to kill someone" or whatever. Same message delivered, and you don't look like an asshole. I'd understand the kid screaming/swearing at him if OP just skied off and didn't say anything, but sounds like that's pretty much the opposite of what happened.

I gotta say -

Super stand up of you to come on here and apologize. That is a humanity restoring moment if you ask me.

CVA kids are so annoying. They think they're such hot shit. I rode up with a kid that goes there and he was telling his friends that he kept the price tag sticker on his skis to 'show he has money'. That's just snobby and stupid.

Calm down dude, it is people like you who start unnecessary fights in the park. He clearly knows he fucked up and he is going the extra mile to apologize to the dude he crossed. Yeah, he did something stupid and could have gotten both of them hurt but at least he learned something from it, he does not need you giving him more crap about it.

I wish I could say I was kidding. I mean hopefully there are a few kids that aren't stupid from CVA. All the ones I've met are just ridiculous. That incident took the cake though.
