AP tests 2014

Had APES today and it was super easy. Stats Friday, Gov and Macroeconomics next week. Can't wait to get this shit over with.
 
Took APES and finished after 60 minutes for both sections. It was pretty easy. Considering it's on a curve and a lot of people are saying it's easy, it might be one of the years where you need an 80% plus to get a 4.

That said a girl in my class broke down in tears after she ran out of time on the FRQ's.

You only need a 70% on the MC and a 3/10 average on the FRQ's for a 5

I thought that was the average over the years? They still scale it I think. So if most kids get a 70% or whatever you would need a 90 to get a 5. I don't know how it works but my APES teacher today said the test seemed easier then it normally was.

Yeah it's scaled. Doesn't really matter how hard the test is. What matters is doing better that the other people taking it.

lol those last two questions were shitty as hell, but the ochem was mostly irrelevant. It was more IMF and kinetics, but the ochem threw me for a loop. Still didn't get any correct...
 
i took (more like winged the fuck out of em) AP tests (gov and lit/comp)...never looked at results until i found out from my college that I received 6 free college credits from passing both...boooooyaaaaaahhhhhhhh
 
Took AP Calc AB this morning. What did anyone else think? Had to guess on a slew of the mc's in the first section, and ran out of time on the third but other than that it seemed like a pretty fair test
 
^ also took Calc AB, I was severely unprepared to take that test. Expecting a 1 or 2 if I'm lucky. I was planning on retaking it in college anyway, just won't send my score.

I have Latin IV tomorrow expecting a 1. We spent most of the year on Vergil and were unable to finish Caesar so I didn't bother learning what we couldn't get to. I am terrible at grammar and vocabulary, only thing I can get points on is going to be the essays because they're in English.

Priests who are also your principal make terrible teachers..
 
All I have to say about the Calc BC free response section is what the fuck. We took 4 old exams and they were all much much easier.

yeah we took like 8 and that was definately the hardest. The mc wasn't that bad though

How're you taking AP Spanish as a Sophomore? Our school only let's us do AP Languages after we do levels 1, 2, 3, and 4. So basically you have to be a Senior to take them

But anyway next year I'm taking AP Statistics, AP Environmental, and AP Micro/Macro Economics,

Same. Beginning suckkkeedd, I guessed on 3/4 of the noncalc MC, and on the calc MC I finished in 25 minutes and only had one I wasn't sure on. I'm terrible at FRQ's but I think it went better than my practice ones. I think I left 2 sections blank total on the FRQ..

and the guy who took the BC, I heard it was hard too... Like, really hard. Some of my smartest friends taking it as a junior thought so.

i took it last year it has multiple choice questions about what certain codes will do, what you would cause an error, what certain terms mean etc and then written section where write codes to slove problems on paper

honestly thought thought the free response was crazy easy, the multiple choice on the other hand stumped me more than once

Did the opposite of my game plan on Latin today. Killed the multiple choice, but got to the FRQ and was quickly overwhelmed. All the questions were on the topics I never got to self teach myself.

Same here brother, Apush will be okay as long as you skim the barons book, since it gives you a basic understanding. Physics on monday will be straight death.

Yeah lit wasn't too bad with the exception of the Grief passage on the mc.

I also thought calc BC was super easy but I kinda got lucky because I just saw how to do the taylor series question right away

Yep! Sort of hard to explain. They give you code, you have to explain what it does/what the output is. And then for the FRQ you have to write the code to do what they want it to do

I did The Great Gatsby, there are probably better books to use, but I was really prepared with it and had pretty good arguments to support it
