AOL can send your parents everything you've ever said on AIM

aol does not save your aim conversations on some server or anything like that. can you imagine the space that would take up.

her mom just found the logged conversations or has a key logging program.

well this is....fun.

bro, they cant do that, they cant physically send text to your parents hands.

And even if they could i doubt it would be worth it, they just used a logger.

and i repeat, there was NO LOGGER

my gf even called AOL, and they explained to her that if a direct family member thinks she had violated any of the 9 rules, they are entitled to the conversations had by their child

and no, it's not ALL conversations, it is the last week's worth

all the same, your parents DO have access to those conversations

but i'm done arguing it, if you don't believe me, i don't care, AOL has been contacted, and nothing illegal was done, and her parents got all of the conversations

plus, she registered as 18 years old, so age isn't a factor

i still don't think you realize how much space it would take to save a weeks worth of every single conversation had by everyone using AIM. that's an INSANE amount of space.

im pretty sure that they would have to notify you in the terms and conditions they can't monitor and log all your infomation if you dont concent to it. and they cant really prove who was using the name anyone can hack onto peoples shizz. and dont you think that would put alot of people in the hands of the law? everyone talks about all kinds of shizz on there.

im thinking your girl isnt so great at computer and never bothered to open aim, click edit --> settings --> IM Logging and uncheck the option to store all aim conversations and her parents found the folder that they are stored in. she should probably do this and click the button that says Delete log files...

uh oh so they can see all my drug deal / street racing / black market baby / insider trading conversations? fuck.

come on, they cant collect that type of information. thats like saying your wireless carrier records all your conversations just in case they need to provide them to someone like your parents or a court.

Do you realize how big the server farms for these big internet companies are? I dont think so...

text files dont take up that much space...

i realize how big they are, but it doesn't matter. text file or not, that is A LOT of useless space it's taking up. plus all it is is a burden for AOL to keep all of these conversations. i don't see it happening.

good thing i stopped using AIM in like 7th grade

come on, all people do is post confusing away messages about their love lives

no one cares
